Thats what the C for USB-C stands for. Stepping away from lightning port millions of iPhone users have grown fond of and love...it takes the c for courage to step away from it's sweet revenue and move to something else.
I mean, is there anything exciting about this event? We already know everything about the products that will be announced, just like last year.

Me either, honestly. But it will be one or the other. My 12 Pro is due an update.
those keynotes are getting so boring since iPhone 11 … I will keep my iPhone 13 Pro which gives me everything I need.
I’m almost hoping for something else this time around;
“This isn’t as powerful and capable as last year’s phone, so we’ll have to wait and see if you’re going to like this”.
And then they show a phone that’s a slight regression compared to the 14 series.
And somehow they’ll miraculously fit it into next year’s 16 Pro to give someone like me with a 14 Pro a good reason to upgrade (which I will of course).
Keeping your 13 Pro another year makes a lot of sense. Wait until the 16 Pro which unlike the 15 Pro will get the periscope lens and according to one rumor, a minor redesign. Maybe the camera stack will look different or be positioned differently?
50 shades of blue/grey?
The image sort of looks like the shape of the Vision Pro so they could be introducing some features in the new iPhones that will be useful to have for Vision Pro. And Wonderlust evokes exploration so I'm guessing better GPS functions in the new phones as well.

The reality is that most people don’t really care about what charging port their iPhone has, rarely ever plug in a cable to transfer files, and may be annoyed that they have to change cables once again.
Hardly a revolution. I have been using MagSafe since my 13 pro max and would be fine even if Apple did away with the port altogether.

I really like the pink on the regular 15! My daughter will be happy. She has the pink 13 mini and has been agonizing that there may not be another light pink phone when it's time for her to upgrade 😅 historically the regular 15 should be sold for about 2 more years so that will give her something to upgrade to ❤️ when the time comes.

Not having a crowd whooping and clapping like demented hyperactive seals is only a good thing.
I love the buildup to the event and watching it live more than the products that are revealed.
