Yeah, it's pretty sad to see how little it's mentioned.

Well let's see:
Iphone - Product get's revised every year
Ipod touch - not as many revisions but runs the Iphone OS
Iphone OS - New revisions every year
All store - 1,000's of apps (most becoming full featured like regular traditional software) that are easy to use, easy to install, smaller file sized (therefore more on a device), Apple get's 30% of all sales, Apple's ADC is $100 / year for each developer.
Ipad - New device this year, sales booming. Bunch of new apps to the app store. Brings new possibilities to mobile & touch computing.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mac OS X - what more can you squeeze out of a traditional computer, other than speed and UI changes.
Laptop / Desktop hardware - even from the PC guys only thing rather intriguing is CPU speed updates, More ram on video card, Open CL to make used of Multi-core processing. Other than that hardware really has not changed in 10 years (well, except the magic mouse and multi-touch trackpad). A desktop is still a desktop, a laptop is still a laptop.
Traditional software - mostly reliance on 3rd party software companies, Apple does not make any money off of (well, only if it is their software like iwork, Final Cut, File Maker, etc - but most stuff is from outside companies).

I can see where Apple's cash cow is, and if that is becoming your bread and butter or majority of your income; then that is where the focus is.
Plus - since Windows 7 just came out, Apple released Snow Leopard within the last year, a lot of companies vying for the slate design, and still questionable what is going to come from the linux people, still questionable on what is going to become of the Oracle aquisition of Sun (are they going to eventually kill Java and MySQL).... I think there may be a lot of wait and see. Plus not to mention the Adobe issue. It is not as appearant, but even some PC forums are not to happy with the performance offlash and the ever rising cost of Adobe software.
plus with Apple in the mode of snatching up these smaller companies - I think they have something up their sleeve. Hints but a lot of speculation came out with their recent conference call.
