Things that will see

iOS 9
iOS 8.4 with the beats music integrated into the music app
newATV
OS X 10.11(San Andreas)

And some update on apple like
the AWatch is doing fine and a new apple store opened

The rounded square in the middle is definitely the shape of an Apple TV. Also, hasn't the television traditionally been known as the centre (i.e. epicenter) of a home?

Great call out. I have a feeling that part of what they're going to aim for with the new Apple TV is creating a sort of iCloud hub in your home that's accessed through your TV. They kind of have this going on now but it's a mess.

Right now iCloud is a lot of different things depending on what devices you have and services you use within it. And if you ask pretty much anyone outside the tech bubble they'll tell you they have no idea what iCloud "is" or how to "use" it.

I think/hope Apple has found a way to make all of this crystal clear and enjoyably accessible through Apple TV.

Did you see the small print?

SESSIONS STREAMED LIVE.

So, not just the keynote, but actual SESSIONS are live now. Looks like I can spend the week at home watching the sessions - work will definitely allow this, as opposed to paying $5000 for the sessions in San Francisco, travel and hotel room fees.

Remember these patents?

I try not to read too much into these invitations, but the instant I saw this one I thought of this:

"On April 9, 2015, the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office published a patent application from Apple relating to an OS X desktop filtering system that could allow a user to transform their desktop to a 3D GUI. Apple has resurrected this 2007 patent and breathed new life into it by cancelling all original 53 patent claims and replaced them with 30 new ones. Apple considers this a new patent application and not a continuation patent which reflects a new interest in this invention in some capacity."

... and this:

The layout & styling of the icons in the invite graphic have an emphasis on depth so I wonder if this hints at OS X and iOS transitioning to a "visual-sensual UI" that blends a 3D spatial GUI with the array of sensors now & soon available across the various devices – camera, touch pad, force touch, even the watch.

I'm waiting to buy a new Apple TV, Mac Mini (and iPad). If they update any of these I will buy at launch, the current ones are far outdated.

They did just release an update to Final Cut with a major emphasis on 3D titling.

3D titling has been around forever, and it's not like this was something users were clamouring for, necessarily. Hard not to imagine that this is in some way a spill off from some sort of current investment in 3D interfaces or the like.

Epicenter = HomeKit, etc.

I think that Epicenter refers to the various software APIs that Apple has created over the past two years to spark new sets of innovation:
- Home Kit
- Health Kit
- Research Kit
- Apple Pay ("change" = reference to money??)

While these capabilities have existed -- theoretically -- for a while, I think that 2015 is the year when Apple aims to fully realize the potential of these ecosystems. Updated AppleTV -- as an epicenter for HomeKit -- would be an obvious example.

That's a good news but I live in Europe so the afternoon sessions will be during the night, but I'll be happy to watch them in the morning

WWDC is iOS and OS X, I don't expect any new hardware product except an Apple TV maybe.
The Watch is finally there, so I expect plenty of new API for interacting with HomeKit with the Watch.
Last year's WWDC was amazing for developers, I'm looking forward to hearing what they have in mind this time

They are introducing ASS - Apple Smart Soccer ball.
One would think this is obvious, but apparently it isn't.

This is just the way Time Machine has always looked. It's possible these patents extend only to that. Unlikely Apple would change the whole look of the GUI in Yosemite only to change it straight away again.

So:

Small rounded squares - iOS Apps
Small Circles - Apple Watch Apps

Large rounded square - Apple TV?
Large circles - Apple TV Apps?

"The Epicenter of Change" - Home Automation? Makes sense as the new AppleTV is rumoured to be the central hub of Apple's home automation efforts.

Best guess so far.

- Snow Leopard style release for 10.11
- Similar style update for iOS 9 with more iWatch interactivity
- Apps apps apps for iWatch

Thank you all for coming.
