Looking forward to the iPad Pro Developer Edition that runs MacOS being announced (in my dreams).

They are tremendously behind in generative AI and are forced to make deals with Google and OpenAi; great evidence of foresight on the part of Tim Cook, who has been too busy creating new emoticons in recent years.
Hopefully they continue with the lack of AI integration garbage; they're the only big tech company that's somewhat respectable at the moment in that regard.

Always interesting to see back-to-back comments like that.

"WWDC 2024 will be an online event that is open to all developers at no cost."

"Though WWDC 2024 is an online event, Apple is once again planning a special event for select developers and students, which is set to take place on June 10 at the Apple Park campus in Cupertino, California. Attendees will be able to watch the keynote and State of the Union presentations at Apple Park, as well as meet Apple employees and attend the Apple Design Awards."

The difference is the one online is open to all devs, and the in person thing is by invitation. Just wondering what do you get to do as a developer for online event? What is the benefit of being a developer over any member of the general public? Is there something interactive we get to do?
Developer sessions across a range of subjects.

Are there any rumours for new MBPs to be launched?

I'm thinking of getting the MBP 14 M3Pro, to upgrade my 16inch Intel; but I don't know if I should hold or pull the trigger...

What, again? Wasn't the event called WWDC already organized last year? Are they planning to have these annually now?

Unless there's big features we don't know know about yet, no update will be bigger than iOS 7. I know the design was polarizing, but that update fundamentally changed the way we used our iPhone. From control center, to airdrop, to viewing all your notifications on your Lock Screen, the new multitasking switcher, to something simple like swipe back gestures.

Apple won't be able to do anything interesting with AI. They will be too afraid it might do something "offensive" so anything they release will be so bogged down with controls as to be unusable.
