So after much waiting Apple called me and said that they'd like to move forward with the background check.
Completed that, the 20th and it shows completed now. Really nervous that it was so quick to complete.
Now the waiting game with fingers crossed!!!!!!

When you are in contact with a recruiter, that's when you'll get their contact info. If you don't have it now then you have to wait till someone responds to your application.
Phone but that's changed with every interview LOL initially it was for chat support, then phone, then ios phone on the final interview. They said it's for the June class, but it's def getting down to the wire.
Just nervous about that background check coming back so quickly, especially with all of the insanity that's been going on with my HR at the company that I work for now, I just hope they didn't mess something up. 🙁
I did call my hiring person to let them know that it had been completed and left them a voice mail. We had been having trouble connecting last week and wanted to make sure that they knew that I was def interested and on top of it.
I just really REALLY hope that I get the welcome call. I've been searching for that 'real' job since graduating college and all I can find is sales and retail positions.
Phone then chat then phone? Question - did you apply to any phone positions? I've only applied to chat ones because I feel I'm much better there and I'm worried they'll bump me over.. if I ever hear from them. (Patience, self!)
When I found their listings, I applied to three of them all of them were listed as at home positions. This one is from one of those that I applied for but I'm not even sure which one because it's not marked on the website where you login to view your application and stuff.
To be honest, I never in a million years dreamed that they'd call me considering all of my work history is retail and retail management. Just keep trying I guess is the best that I can tell you.
We will be starting together for chat!!!! In July! I'm waiting on my background check now! So nervous that for some reason they're going to retract my offer!
Just so anyone out there with bad credit needs a testimonial, I got the job offer today. For specs: about 77K in current student loan debt that is up to date, 3.5K in Credit Card debt that hasn't been paid on since 2013, and 770 of that is in collections. Thankfully, the student loan debt is in income based repayment, so with this job next year after I file taxes I'll only be paying about $42.00 a month on it. Whatever isn't paid in just 13 more years is forgiven. Thanks Uncle Sam😀

At the threat of derailing this awesome thread... I'm also on income based repayment for my student loans. Although Uncle Sam will forgive the loan after a certain amount of time, the IRS will still want to collect tax on what was forgiven which terrifies me! Hopefully, we'll see some more progress on student loan reform that would make the tax bill not sting as much.

For the guy (gal?) worried because your background check went so quick: Believe it or not what usually takes the longest in a typical background check is the criminal part. See, they generally contact the county Clerk of Courts for that and some have a lead time before they even see the request and some haven't even put the records onto a computerized database yet, according to my recruiter. In my case they sent the request to the Clerk of Courts, but my county doesn't do BGCs at that office; they go through the sheriff's office. Mine sat for two days in the Clerks office before she called them late in the day when it was like 10 min until closing time, but thankfully my County Sheriff has a guaranteed turn around time of no more than 24 hours and he had it back to them in two. As a matter of fact when I went in for my BGC to pay the transfer fee for the tax stamp o a registered silencer, I was in and out in 30 min.
I can't speak for Apple proper, but Kelly only calls employment history for the last 7 years, which I had none other than the months I was with the Apple Project, and none of my references I gave them said they were called.

I just started a position with a contract company that works with apple but then apple offered me the chat job with I would love and pays a lot more. I'm wondering if there is any conflict of interest with that.

I had my 3rd interview this Tuesday. They called me Thursday afternoon.
A friend of mine said hers took 3 full days for them to call.
I applied for one AHA position on 5/13, and two more on 5/19. What's usually the turn around time before they try to get back to you, do they not say anything at all if they don't want you?? I'm trying to do as much research as possible, I work for a phone carrier that stocks their products so I figured that may help since I troubleshoot those. Thanks
It usually takes a while here is my timeline:
4/23: applied for both aha chat and voice
5/8: first call from apple, short 10 min phone interview, had to complete full application before first video interview
5/14: 2nd video interview with hr guy
5/19: 3rd and final interview with hiring manager
5/21: was called and offered chat position contingent on good background check,
So took a full month for whole process.
