No point arguing with them to be honest, they won’t change their opinions no matter what Trump does. I find it funny they are trying to blame trump for the slowing global economy, because that only started happening when Trump got into office. Meanwhile the US economy is doing just fine.
When so many Americans need 2-3 jobs to pay rent and afford healthcare- the economy is not doing fine.

A "deal" that asks China to buy the same amount of soybeans they bought before the trade war started.

He certainly knows how to close deals. 😂

Remember how this trade dispute started. It was about IP and fundamentals. Now it's "our farmers can sell lobsters and soybeans like they did before!"

Lol, the quote was from The Wall Street Journal... are they a “discredited liberal rag” in the world you live in???

Give it up.
This ain’t your echo chamber here, my dude.
Trump didn’t shrewdly get the Chinese to bow to his will... HE finally succumbed to their demands.

Trump is a master deal maker. He’s produced results for this economy and keeps his promises. More jobs, record stocks, record unemployment, renegotiated trade deals. Even Pelosi called trumps USMCA unquestionably better than NAFTA. You can’t beat him, honestly.

Even Tim is smart enough to see past the anti-trump hate. I’m sure he’s tired of China trying to steal intellectual property - which is a huge part of the trade deal with China.

It's honestly shocking how well you've learned to regurgitate Fox News chyrons.

stock market is going to skyrocket tomorrow
AAPL is looking good in after hours!
After hitting a historical all-time high of $272.56 in midday trading before settling at $271.46... after hours trading has it looking like it will open tomorrow at yet another all-time high of $272.96!
Lol, I’m glad I shored back up on AAPL after selling off to pay cash for a house some years back!! =)

Trump got us into this tariff mess, I’m curious to see if we ultimately end up in a better or worse position for it.

I feel especially bad for all the US farmers who have lost relationships with Chinese buyers over the tariffs.

Which mess? The one where China walks all over us and Trump actually established a FAIR deal? Is that the mess you're referring to?

Don’t forget the theft and attempted theft of Apple and Tesla’s source code, among many other IP thefts from China.

Also remember the employee that Apple caught trying to steal its source code and fly back to China?

When U.S. prosecutors charged an Apple engineer in January with stealing trade secrets for a Chinese startup, a search of his home turned up something else, they said: a classified file from the Patriot missile program that belonged to his ex-employer, Raytheon Co.

So not only did he try to steal Apples self driving secrets, but also missile defense system secrets. Here’s a picture that missile system:

China is not our friend.

If only iPhones are made in US then it could have generate jobs and help the economy of the country. But if they do make iPhones in US then it means they will have a lower profit margin and will not be a trillion dollar company. :) The funny thing is companies like Apple doesn't live in a vacuum as the company getting richer and the people getting poorer and the economy worsen the peoples purchasing power will weaken to a point that they can no longer afford to buy Apple products or any other expensive products for that matter.

China has been reaping the benefits of open markets without opening its markets up as much. That's been the goal of this trade round. Previous politicians were afraid of upsetting China due to an unrealistic view of China's actual power.

Trump probably burned 1-2%/year of GDP growth for this deal, but it should be worth it in the long run. Good timing, since you want to start a trade war when you're doing well. Nobody notices growth that doesn't happen.

Trump may be a dick, but he's our dick.
The idea is nice. I have no idea if it's really what Trump did or if it's BS as usual.

Not a fan of Trump, but he's better than most democrats any day of the week.
I am hearing from my cousin that Job market in USA for domestic workforce is really very hot in terms of compensation and amount of opportunities!! Not sure if that is true...

Yeah, we know. Nobody likes China. The question is whether Trump actually beat them.

It already rocketed today. Also, spoiler alert: big money knows these types of events are going to happen. That's why the market has melted up the last few weeks.

Double spoiler alert: longer term (outside of a few days) the markets don't care about news headlines

Best guess here, this was a tactic to delay further tariffs over the holiday season. Chances are tariffs will still come after no real deal can be made. China does not want to play by the same rules developed economies should follow. Even Democrats have started to talk negatively about China. Realize that the Chinese communist party is a threat to our way of life and increasingly aggressive. If the US is thought of as a nasty bully, imagine a world where China is a sole super power.

I don't see how China threatens the USA way of life seriously. We just shouldn't do business with such an incompatible country, plus the government is tyrannical to its people.

4% of multiple jobholders have two full time jobs. 56% of multiple jobholders have a full time + part time job*. I'm willing to bet that a majority of these multiple jobholders you speak of prioritize having a brand new smartphone over feeding themselves. Because, priorities...right?

dear Tim,
so now you cold think about canceling those 64 Gb iphone and 128 Gb MacBook, right ?
[automerge]1576216273[/automerge]
But Apple will use a what if scenario and raise the prices of next years iPhone just to justify squeezing more profits. Either way, doesn’t matter, will still be using my iPhone X.
Except Apple didn’t raise prices 3 years in a row but people on MR keep complaining about it.

Coming from someone who buys the cheaper/est new iPhone every 2-3 years, I’d happily pay 50% more if timPhones were manufactured in the USA.
50% more is a totally unacceptable price for iPhone 11 Pro, for instance...
