Never thought of it that way... I thought it was the Gorillas were making the glass, like the glue...

I'm starting to have a Soylent Green moment...

lol....... "Gorilla" Glass. I would of thought there would be the RSPCA everyone back judging by how many smart phones in the world use this.

I have an iPhone 5 with no protection and never broke the glass. I see people who destroys their phones and they are actually people with anxiety disorders and kind of... shallow and no brain. And their iPhones is not the only thing is a disaster so there is a pattern.

Being still on a 5 is worse then having a broken screen :)

How soon before a certain knucklehead in Washington takes credit?

Surprised Apple hasn't purchased Corning outright; seems like a perfect company for vertical integration

Can't break less than the zero times it broke in my 8 years of iPhone ownership, since the 3GS.

However I don't think it will be unbreakable either.

I assure you many iPhones have had broken displays in the past 8 years. That number, while hard to pin down exactly, could be lower. ;)

'member GT advanced? 'member Sapphire display?

I do remember. That was a startup that overpromised and undelivered.

What does that have to do with Corning, a 160 year old company with $9+ billion in sales, 40,000 employees, and a long track record of innovation?
