Trouble is LTD, you can't "think differently" and think Mac suits all... not everyone wants or needs a $1000 Mac to email and use internet - a $299 Windows PC does just fine. Sure, OSX is very nice, and for my needs OSX does the job very, very well, way better than windows could ever.
Sure, a virus checker will cost you $49 a year, but then so does MobileMe to get your Mac email and web space... works out equally. In reality, viruses aren't much of a problem and get hyped up by fanboy mac users and virus companies. In reality, you could just pretty much ignore them and they won't affect you.... Yep. I sometimes wonder about all the cheap "fools" that choose to (or have no choice but to) slum it with Windows and bad knock-offs of Apple products, when for a little more they can enjoy the Real Thing. Doesn't take much in the way of original thought to walk into a Best Buy and just pick something out of the ocean of mish-mash PCs on display, look for the cheapest one with the most crap shoved into it and ask
