I have been communicating with the Settlement Administrator since September 2022 and did not know that they needed the W9 until an email on November 2. I submitted it and still have not received anything. I am fed up and have already contacted an Attorney who is a member of the California Bar. I am giving the Administrator until December 26, 2022 to respond to my December 16, 2022 email and if not I am moving forward with filing a motion to compel with the court.

While I don't know the cost right now, anyone who wants to join me can send me an email to cs@truckers-trip-planning-app.com and include your full name, telephone number, whether your check was sent to the wrong address, or any other brief comment that you want passed on. You must also be a member of the class with a valid claim.

No payment - No emails clarifying anything concrete as to what's the hold up.

These guys are cooking up some kind of fraud maybe? Trying to cash in on the interest from holding our money?

At least Apple paid me out on a consistent basis after they took me to the cleaners for 30%.

A couple of people on Reddit called today and both people said their checks had been sent in the mail. One person said they sent his check to the wrong address, and he'll have to wait until early January to get it reissued to the right address.

Anyone else have any updates?

I heard at the beginning of the month that they had processed my form but no further updates since and no check yet.

Yup. That was me. Don't know why they can't just "reissue" the check to the right address after voiding the one that was sent to the wrong address..

Still nothing for me but holding out hope I guess.

The people who got paid PayPal did you have to rerequest? We’re you expecting mail this time?

Yes! My check finally came today. 4 times than expected as well. Thanks Apple! Worth the wait…

Did you need to re request with the affidavit?
I did-- back in November. I received my replacement check today. The amount was about 4X the original estimate. Replacement check was dated 12/16/2022; envelope was postmarked 12/27/2022.

It was sent first class on the 27th and I got it today on the 3rd.

I haven't gotten anything yet. I selected bank deposit. I emailed them and got the reply back on Dec 6th about them waiting for W9s pass/fail. I've moved around a lot in the past year so I'm nervous about them possibly having mailed something even though I chose bank account.

After seeing this thread, I just sent them another email, but is calling them easier? I just got fired so could really use the money to survive.

I called about 20 times and left atleast 10 messages. I never got ahold of anyone or heard back from the phone.

I did get a few emails back but usually about 2 week turnaround time.

I too received a replacement check mailed in December -- although I got it in January.

Humorously there is a 1099 for 2022 attached, although as a cash basis business, it should be considered 2023 income.

Yea that confused me too. My accountant said it would have to go towards 2022 taxes. No idea if that is right.

I received a 1099-NEC (non-employee compensation) for the lawsuit payout. Has anyone figured out how to enter this into turbo tax? It asks me if it is from a lawsuit, then it asks if it is for back wages? If I don't select it is for back wages, then it puts me in this infinite loop saying I am missing information.

I'd ask on the Turbo Tax community forums. I had no problem entering in my 1099-NEC though.

As for an update for mine, I had to sign the dumb affidavit and pay a notary just to get it mailed out again like most people. They said they'd mail it out with the next batch in mid-February. I think it's ridiculous they just wait to mail them out in batches, and can't even give a specific date. I have emailed them for a specific date because I'm really relying on this money to be able to move at the end of the month.

When you entered in your 1099-NEC, did you select it was from a lawsuit settlement for back pay?
