Nothing yet. Today is 30 days post W9 form submission for me. I did receive an email two weeks ago confirming my initial payout option. In the next few days to a week, I should know more/receive the payment. I’ll post an update here when I do.Any update from anyone?
No payments received yet.Any update from anyone?
Meaning, the payment will be sent 30 DAYS AFTER your W9 has been submitted, and we don't even know if our W9's have been submitted yet.Once your W9 has been submitted and processed [emphasis added by me], it will take approximately 30 days for your payment to be issued. We appreciate your patience. Your payment will be issued in the payment method selected on your claim form. If your option selected was via check it will be mailed to the address provided on your W9 form.
I asked about this (via phone) since I originally requested PayPal, but they instead mailed a check to an address we have not used in years. Their explanation was that they were afraid of employees embezzling the settlement payments from the developers via PayPal accounts, so opted to mail checks instead (often to obsolete addresses).Your payment will be issued in the payment method selected on your claim form.
Thanks.I’ve confirmed that the administrator is waiting for W9 pass/fail confirmations from the IRS. Once these have been confirmed payment will be promptly submitted. Here is what was sent to me:
“We are awaiting pass/fail confirmation of submitted W9s from the IRS. Once this confirmation is received, we will issue payments as soon as possible to the payment method selected on your claim form. If your option selected was via check it will be mailed to the address provided on your W9 form. For W9 tin matching failures, we will reach out to class members individually informing them of their status, and how to resolve the issue. We appreciate your patience.”
I see. Unless the IRS are doing some deeper analysis or manually handling it, it’s all the info I’ve got to go with for now.Thanks.
The IRS says they can do 100,000 TIN matches in 24 hours. So they're not the bottleneck; we're still waiting on the administrators.
True, but the IRS does say it can take 5-7 days to process any submitted. There could be some backlog or something.Thanks.

Problem is a few idiots ruined it for everyone. If you don’t trust your employees not to steal then why did you hire them in the first place? I’d be insulted if my employer demanded to do a bag check before I was allowed to leave work. For a company that claims to value privacy that’s definitely an invasion of privacy.
Pretty annoying. I run an LLC where I am the only employee and they still decided to bypass my selected and confirmed payment method and sent a check to 10 year old address that I never gave them…Problem is a few idiots ruined it for everyone.

In my case, I called 215-563-4116 and asked about my settlement payment. I was told that a check had been sent and to which address-- an address we left ten years ago. In order to obtain a replacement check I had to complete, notarize, and return an affidavit that they emailed to me.How did you find out they sent it to the wrong address?
Basically word for word, this is what happened to me, totally invalid address that doesn't exist in any system and hasn't been used in well over 10 years. I contacted the 94 year old who lives there after half a day's work with realtors trying to get a phone number and wasted $75 on an emergency FedEx to that location. Unfortunately, that 94 year old had already put it back into the mailbox return to sender a week earlier. In my case, I called 215-563-4116 and asked about my settlement payment. I just got off the phone with the settlement administrator and they said there was a delay with the IRS W-9 verification but checks were issued on December 12th so we should have them by the end of the month, depending on mail times.
I asked about PayPal payments and they said there's no way for them to look up the method we chose or change it at this point, but it seems like for anyone that doesn't already have a PayPal payment they sent a check instead. Might be checks for everyone that had to submit their W-9.
Finally got my update today:
We have reviewed our records and can confirm your affidavit and W9 have been processed accordingly. We have a batch of checks being mailed next week. Your check is included in that batch.
Thank you, Cameron et al. v. Apple, Inc. Settlement Administrator.
That's great. Congrats. If anyone gets a check, please confirm.FINALLY!! For those who need updates. I got the payment today. I received mine via PayPal - my original payout method. I suspect others will be receiving their checks in the mail or original payout methods within the next few days.
