iPhone updates are only boring for those who insist on upgrading a mature product line every year for some reason.

Yes, the times of massive year on year improvements are over, but if you hold on to your phone for longer you will still benefit from incremental progress. I still have my 7 that is in need to be replaced and I would definitely appreciate the bigger batteries the 12s/13 are rumoured to have.

Perspective.

Hope it’s a good update, as it is I have a 6s 7plus & 8plus and can’t really tell them apart. Hate to loose the home button so unless I’m wowed I probably won’t jump in. Maybe 6E WiFi? I really don’t care about the color so just give me something that is inexpensive & won’t break so easy.

They get more clicks by saying iPhone 13. Everyone knows it’ll be called iPhone 12s.
The number 13 has negative connotations for too many people for it to be used.
Then we’re all doomed, because we’re already on iPhone 13. Use any tool that checks model identifier of “iPhone 12” — such as Geekbench — and I get iPhone 13,3 on a “12 Pro.”

And if you want a little trivia to feed the superstition: the condo building that just collapsed in Miami was 13 stories tall.

12.

Historically speaking, people in the U.S. are superstitious about the number 13 being unlucky. Many (most?) buildings in the united states do not have a floor numbered 13. The elevator numbers also reflect that by omitting the button for 13. I personally can’t recall ever being in an elevator with a button for floor 13, but I’ve no doubt they exist. I don't have a fear of the number 13.

But if I did, the fact that the 13th floor is the 13th floor would make me afraid of it... regardless of them labeling it as 14 on the elevator buttons, signs on the floor, or what-not.

I don't understand how these people who are afraid of the number 13 are appeased by the 13th floor being labeled "14" on the elevator. It's still the 13th floor. The label "14" on the 13th floor is a lie.

If I had a fear of the number 13, somebody painting "14" on the button in question on the elevator wouldn't fool me. I'd still be afraid of the 13th floor.

Goes to show how stupid people can be, they are afraid of the number 13 but they are fooled into feeling "safe" going to the 13th floor simply because the button on the elevator, or the signs on the floor, say "14" instead of "13". It's still the 13th floor!

If you owe me $100, I'm not going to accept a $1 bill from you just because you write two extra zeroes on it.

Make any sense?

That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard! Lol

Whats the issue with 13? You obviously missed the A13, 13inch MacBook and iOS13 memo?

Its pretty clear from the production leaks O/S, that this IS the iPhone 13.

It's the same launch as any other normal year. Your just excited because it is the iPhone. :p
Award winning comment my friend.🥇 🏆

You know me so well lol it’s my favorite product in this world. I’m crazy obsessed with the iPhone.

Been upgrading every single year. The best of the best. Never skipped a year since 2008-♾

My 11PM, as I've mentioned before, has ended up being my longest-serving iPhone ever, as I skipped the 12. Looking forward to the 12S upgrade!
All 3 models of the 11 were and are phenomenal. I have the 12PM and generally enjoy it thanks to the squared off edges. It feels right in my hand, but I digress.... I could have easily stayed with 11PM and enjoyed every moment an extra year out of it.

The only iPhone I ever used two years with the 4S. The 5 was "meh" to me. While LTE was in its infancy and apps were still showing black bars since they weren't optimized for 4 inches had me skip the device.
