After using my 11" iPad Pro, I cannot use these older iPad devices with those massive bezels. Haha

Wow only Apple can get a way with selling refurb at only 15% off the price. You are always buying someone elses problem with refurb electronics.
Not true. I bought a refurbished time capsule from the Apple store about 3 or 4 yrs ago save money and it’s still going strong.

Dumb question maybe: is refurb really 100% a-ok? I have a weird suspicion that I'm buying someone's broken tech that's been spitshined.
Many times it is not even really refurbished, but open box returns. Have done it in the past, and they are fine. You also get the same warranty.

Anyone with the refurb complaints has never bought refurb or bought refurb once and experienced issues. Refurbs are great. If there's a problem out of the box, return it - just like you would if you bought new.

With that said, Apple's prices continue to astound me. I understand there's a lot of people with cash to burn but the value for what they charge diminishes every year. The board of directors is squeezing every last cent from their revenue streams and saying bye bye to one of the best tech companies for the past decade.

People complain that Apple is making entry-level iPads prohibitively expensive with the most recent release, but these refurbished devices are good options!

If you need/want an iPad for media consumption and creative work, you can pick up one that is practically new for $279—less than an Apple Watch, HomePod, or mid-range iPod touch (when those received more focus) and more capable than each.

Or you could have bought a brand new one from a ton of retailers for less. I love how Apple’s referb prices are still higher than many Black Friday week sales.

I mean Black Friday sales aren't sustainable or we'd have those prices all year long. It was mentioned earlier than not everyone can wait for BF to pick up or replace some tech.

Yeah, but there are plenty of places that have sales on iPads year around where you can get these same prices and they aren’t referbs. I also don’t have anything against referbs.

Damn.. too bad. How am I going to live the rest of my life in the aftermath of this revelation?!

Meh. Got a new 6th gen iPad from Kroger for $229 during the black Friday sale. You got bilked.
