Apple Begins Shipping iPhone 4 to Customers

Wish I could check the status, Apple's order status web site is down for maintenance. Ah, well.
Is everyone seeing the pre-sign thing? I ordered something along side the new iPhone and it has already shipped, but there's no "Pre Sign" link on my order status page for that item. Which means it'll probably end up going back to Apple, since I'm never home to receive things. Already bounced off once, because FedEx didn't accept my typed up "Please leave this item on the porch" note that I signed on Friday.

My order status was Prepared for Shipment as of last night. I pre-ordered mine on Tues 6/15 around 7:15pm EST. I did not get notification about shipping yet. I went to check my order status on the Apple Store and the systems are down for scheduled maintenance. I'll check again later. Anyone is the same boat?
Yes I am in the same boat. Hopefully Apple will set our boat to sail soon! I ordered mine at 4:18 PM PDT.
Got it. Just wanted to see if anyone pre-ordered around the same time that I did, with latest status of Prepared for Shipment and did not receive notification of shipping email yet. I am not getting nervous yet

I ordered right around the same time and am in the exact same boat... Hoping to wake up and find it shipped.
Just got my shipping notice. Looks like Apple emailed it around 1am.
According to FedEx it has not been p/u yet. Of course it's 6pm, Sun in China.
Fed Ex Tracking says delivery on the 24th, no surprise there. Delivery is by 4:30pm
Shipping service is the usual "International Economy Distribution".

Got my shipment confirmation too. When I ordered I was one of the first to be backordered to July 2nd but it's already shipped. I'm so excited. Delivery on June 24th.
Got my order in on store.apple.com finally at 6:30a PDT on the 15th. Got my shipment notification email at 11:45p PDT on the 19th with y'all. Email said June 24th, and FedEx tracking says June 24th.
Am willing to wager that the June 23rd bit was in error. I note that it seems like most of the people who reported getting the email in this thread the earliest all got emails that said June 23, even though their FedEx tracking results say the 24th. I am sure that Apple caught the error partway through the process of sending out those emails, and corrected it in subsequent batches.
I might have missed a report from somebody who has already done this, but it would be interesting if someone who got an email mentioning the 23rd were to check their order status on store.apple.com once it is functional again and see if it also says the 23rd. I'm willing to bet that it does not...Apple can make their web site show the correct thing after the fact, but cannot retroactively fix an email that they sent you with erroneous information.
I suppose that we will all know for certain in a matter of days.

Yep. I changed my address to my office address through the web site after placing the order, and mine shipped. The email that I got from Apple with the tracking number shows the correct/desired Ship To address as well.
So I *think* it worked. Time will tell...

EDIT: of course, this begs the question why they have that stupid provision in place during the ordering process anyway, if you can just go in and change it after the fact. I wonder if they even know/realize this loophole exists?

Before you start casting stones, how about learning the difference between "your" and "you're?" Receive is also misspelled. Oh, and there's supposed to be an apostrophe in didn't. WTF is "gonna" supposed to be? I could go on, but I won't. Suffice to say, your remark to him was uncalled for, particularly when you can't even use proper grammar to say it.

What does his grammar have to do with his point? Me thinks you are just trying to be a know-it-all school marm. And I've seen plenty of poor grammar from posts written by non-Americans. Pretty sad when citizens of the country that invented the english language can't get it right.
Ordered mine at 6:30am PDT on the 15th and still waiting for shipment... Funny how Apple decides to ship these things in random order to mess with us.
Sorry, I'm not from Britain or Scotland. That's where English was developed, not America. "Me thinks you you are just trying to be a know-it-all" when you assume everyone in America came from those countries.
