Apple Begins Shipping iPhone 4 to Customers

weird how they still didn't charge my card. it was on hold but they gave me my money back.

No UK orders have been shipped yet. Now that the US is done I'd expect them to prepare ours for shipment today. There is a flight from HK in the early hours of Monday morning to Liege and I think ours should be on it

It was just a pre-authorization when they charged your card Tuesday.... You will see the charge pop back up again more than likely on Monday! Mine was the same way and I confirmed this process with an apple customer service rep.

I actually hope it is UPS as my UPS driver is awesome and comes like clockwork at 10:30 to 10:45 am each day. Sometimes when he is late maybe 11:00 am but Fed-Ex they usually don't find my house until 4:30 pm that really sucks. But unfortunately I think it will be Fed-Ex delivering the iPhone 4 so it looks like it will be a late delivery in the day for me. But on the bright side, at least I get one on the June 24th launch day. Many people missed out. So I feel lucky. ;)

Has anybody thought that because this is an international release that orders in the US may get there's on the 23rd because of the time difference otherwise everyone in Europe are gonna get theirs first.

Wow. And anyone who doesn't think people are allowed to get excited over a new iPhone should be banned from ever buying one. Have you tried one of your chill pills?

And you're the legal expert? Apple advertised to sell you a product on June 24th. No earlier. Your dollars that you gave to Apple for "your property" doesn't become yours until the day Apple advertised to deliver the product to you. That money you gave to Apple was a presale for Apple to deliver their end of the deal by a certain date.

So just because you "paid for it" its not yours, and you don't have a right to march into Fedex demanding for your "property." Its not yours until the date Apple told you it would be yours.

It's something you paid for with the understanding that the street date is 6/24 and that is when Apple must deliver. By your logic, you should be able to walk into Foxconn and pickup your phone.
 
UK iPhone 4 preorder

I ordered my iPhone Jun 15th at 2:41pm GMT and it still says Not Yet Shipped: Delivers by 24th.

And my iPhone sized chunk of money has returned to my bank account, but I guess that’s only normal as my bank only holds money for about 3-4 days.

Anyone else in the UK with another order status? :)

Yes I bought my iPhone for that reason, but my reception is also very good. I have no complaints with AT&T. I was on Verizon for years and switched to AT&T 2 years ago just for the iPhone and I have no regrets. I've only dropped maybe 5 calls total in the 2 years I've had them.
