Dave

LOL Wow I got the e-mail like 2-3 minutes after you posted this and it actually did end up in Spam...

I have similar headers. Yup, this looks legit. :)

just got my email is anyone else concerned with the bolded part"
Dear Apple Store Customer,

You recently received a Shipment Notification email from Apple advising you that your iPhone has shipped.

This email is to confirm that your delivery will occur on June 23rd. Although Apple and FedEx tracking information may currently indicate a later date, you can check the FedEx website the morning of the June 23rd to track your package to your doorstep.

In the event that you will not be available to accept delivery on June 23rd, it may be more convenient to use our pre-sign delivery option by visiting our Order Status website at http://www.apple.com/orderstatus.

Sincerely,

The Apple Store Team

It kind of seems like apple wouldn't let an email like that slip out as they all seem to have good grammar however who knows.... won't change my life, I'll be home both days :)

I also got the June 23 delivery email :D and mine is still in Alaska

what time was your order placed and also what time does your tracking info say it got in Alaska.

Like mine says:

Jun 21, 2010 1:09 PM
In transit
ANCHORAGE, AK
Package available for clearance

Amazing! I would never have figured this. I, too, got the "23rd" e-mail, even though all of my tracking info has said 24th since the beginning, both from Apple and FedEx.

I came back to this thread after receiving the e-mail, and it looks like I'm not the only one. :)

My order was finally placed at 6:30a PDT the morning of June 15th.

P.S. -- I wonder if I should go stand in line with all of the people at my local AT&T store Thursday morning, and then casually whip it out before the store opens...nah, I'd probably get killed for doing that. :D

Alright guys we dont have the phones in our hands just yet so let's not get cocky just yet.

All the ones marked the 23rd are Priority shipments, guessing ones who ordered the 32gb, and the 24th are economy shipments, the 16gb (my opinion not a fact)

Nope. I ordered a 32GB and mine was shipped Economy. I even placed my order fairly early on in the day, relatively speaking (6:30 in the morning).

Even though mine shipped Economy, though, and was slated for the 24th, I still got "the e-mail."
