You bring up a valid point, and I agree. I'm sorry, it was unwise of me to be so mean and I apologize, even though I said I would not.
If at any time I overstepped the mark and was rude to you, I apologise too.
I'm too caught up in my disappointment in Apple's recent screw-ups. I just want them to be better because I used to have so much respect for them, and it's slowly dwindling. I remember the first time I used iOS and OSX and thought it was so awesome. I adopted their design mentality into my work and they abandoned what they taught me, and I feel betrayed. I'm scared they might end up having a sort of money-first-innovation-later kind of mentality. I see some people buy into anything they do and that's not helping the matter, it's encouraging them to continue down this path.
I don't see it being as bad as you say, but I understand where you are coming from. The release of the Gold apple watch worried me. I hope that it was more publicity stunt to get attention (which it certainty did), but it also has the potential to the start of a business approach that I don't like. The current focus on celebrities to me is also a distraction, Apple managed very well in the past with excellent design being their signature.
Time will tell I suppose.
