Usually with Apple, September means "September 31".
I can't believe 10A432 is the GM build. Usually we get at least get one or two GM candidates.
Needless to say, I think I'll wait until 10.6.1 comes out to install it on my MacBook. 10A431 has been a PITA for me. I just now reverted back to Leopard.

Less than a month, I think about 3 weeks. How long was it between 10.5 and 10.5.1?
Damn, we'll be waiting forever!
Usually with Apple, September means "September 31". I'd be shocked if it actually shipped in August! Can't wait to try it out. It's only $30 too!

Why? What's wrong with it?
Someone posted a list with things wrong with 10A432. One thing that stood out is not preferences for QuickTime X. Oh & 64-Bit extensions missing completely. It just seems incomplete. Like 2 builds away from a real GMI mean, it's usable, it just seems incomplete. Small things missing/ not 100% functional that Apple really wouldn't let slip by. Still feels like a RC build, not the GM build.
It is. It's just the Snow Leopard installer-icon which appeared in build 10A432 which apparently is the GM after all.
I think the whole point of QT X is to strip everything down and go back to a simple player. So no prefs is intentional, not missing.
If you've been waiting 6 months, then you should just hang in there for the last few months. It seems like the next iMac update will be worth it.

Eh, it's the only Apple app without preferences so, honestly, I kinda doubt it. Even so, there are a lot of things missing/ incomplete (that should be there/ functional in a GM) in 10A432. I'm still kinda shocked that it's the GM
