Engadget reports that Apple has received FCC approval for its first iPhone accessory, a miniature wireless Bluetooth headset.

Apple has not yet released pricing for its headset, and has kept a low profile on the device, only casually mentioning it on its iPhone pages.

Raw Data: FCC Link

I thought that, usually, by the time FCC approval was granted, there were actual photographs of the physical product provided? At least, mobile phone geek websites like MobileBurn usually provide photos from FCC approval docs... I'm kind of surprised it's just such a basic drawing.

5000 ears

I remember hearing Jobs mention on the last ear-bud update for the iPod that they used over 5000 ears (Don't know if that was 2500 different people or 5000) to make it better. I was skeptical of improving a simple ear-bud until I tried one. Wow! It really was a lot nicer. I can only imagine the thought put into this one.

I know I always see Apple's glass as half full, but once again, I would have to believe that this Bluetooth ear-bud/mic/headset will be excellent.

Maybe they'll include it with the iPhone.

sorry,
I don't want to offend anybody but, I think ant kind of headsets for phones make people look so nerdy.:D

From the Keynote...

Bluetooth accessory: headset, black and thin "incredibly small" one button on the top, automatically pairs, "It's really simple."
"It's the coolest one we've ever seen."

This ear-piece has such a nice, low profile... It's probably the only one I've seen that I would actually consider wearing. I agree that most other bluetooth headsets make people look like space dorks.
