I must say, ifixit got me good early this morning. I got an email from them at around 4:00AM. Down at the bottom was a note to check my calendar before venting, which turned out to be a link to Wikipedia. It was all very convincing.

SelfieBot - only a joke for now

The worst thing is that you know the SelfieBot is coming as soon as the tech reaches consumer feasablity. There are no limits to selfie narcissism.

1. Buy iFixit
2. Shut it down, as it is useless for the latest Apple gear
3. PROFIT!

This is a April Fool Day's joke, come on Macrumors....

I don't understand people like you at all. I for one appreciate that they post industry-relevant information. Not every single news entry has to be about Mac-related rumours.

Seeing as you lot keep popping up every time a non-Apple thread is made and complain endlessly about the material posted by this site, why are you even still around?

some jokes are good some are so lame, which is sad to see from big companies like deviantart for example lol???

It is so annoying when you are seriously researching stuff and constantly get jokes blocking you but whatever, one day a year. I can deal with it. Just get fooled once or twice cool but it goes on for two days (+10 timezone for me) and it gets so boring to constantly experience lol

Wow, you laughed hard at these lame "jokes"? Really?

well, i suppose to each their own...

but can i ask you a question though? What was the point of your post?

i mean don't get me wrong.... it is actually quite flattering to know that you think a discussion about my taste in jokes is relevant for the approximately 3500 viewers of this post... ;)

The Selfiebot is the best one imho.

Especially at the end where it sees the robots taking over the world and then turns to look at the couple..

Besides this new generation really needs it.

HAL 9000..

:p

MacRumors has not participated in April Fools' Day prank news stories on its regular news pages in past years, and has no plans to break from that tradition this year. All news stories posted on our front page, iOS Blog, and Mac Blog today are real.

No fake rumors here, just real rumors. Thanks MacRumors!
