I think they probably paid big money for that. I own a few domain names and let me tell you, they can go pretty pricey... I know it's not Y2K anymore but as more business go on the net, the more money people are ready to pay for the proper name. No matter what, if your business is called "MyBigMachine", you don't want to end-up with a domain name like "MyBigMachineTooYouKnowtheRealOne.org" And the owner of "MyBigMachine.com" knows that ('cause Tyler knows that...
Anyway, a good, easy and short name got is share of values. Could you ever forget "me.com"? Can you spell it wrong? Could you be confused if the service was called "Me"? I don't think I could (for good or bad reasons).
