The fact that so many people are talking about this tells me Apple did the right thing by making the card out of titanium/aluminum. When is the last time you talked about your Amex or Costco Visa?

I have one of the Apple cards just for the heck of it. It will not go into my wallet, but I thought it was cool. I use Apple Pay almost all the time. Usually with my Amex, and now with my Apple Card. For groceries, it's Amex - 6% rebate. For gas, Costco Visa - 3% rebate. For everything else, its the Apple card with it's 2% (or 3% for Apple purchases)

Does the AE require an annual fee?

I modded my Card to "HUSKER RED"

I am much relieved to now have this information. I had been deeply concerned as to the materials used to construct this card... I can't count how many nights I've lain awake wondering just this question.

/sarcasm

It is a thing of exquisite beauty and solid craftsmanship. I was so worried about losing it, I don’t even carry it on me. I got it framed in a vacuum sealed frame and hung it in my kitchen. Now, I look at it lovingly every morning while I sip my coffee before heading off to work.

I sincerely don't see the surprise here. Since when Apple is not about the aesthetics and form over function?

BTW, metal cards are not a new trend, after the platinum and gold monikers they are just the next status symbol available, they hardly add any true robustness versus conventional thermoplastic materials(they will easily show more dints and become bend). Even strictly from that standpoint making them out of some titanium alloy VS stainless steel hardly makes them stronger, I would say even less since Ti is a softer metal.

That cardless dream is all fun and stuff, but try to rent a car or check in at some hotel, especially overseas...

IDK, it's a metal card? AMEX Platinum has been a metal card (which arrives in a handsome wooden box) since forever. Not sure what their onyx card comes with (perhaps a Mac Pro mounted in a Tesla Roadster), but I mean, it really is a great card, with excellent customer service, which pays for itself in a month if you travel a lot; just being in the states AMEX Blue Cash Preferred is my mostly everything else card.

Since I already have 19 credit cards I don't use for anything, I've gone ahead and added a 20th, becuz APPL should be a bank.
