but it didn't crack!!

The Genius Bar has determined that an unspecified component inside your Apple Card is water damaged, thus your $150 Apple Card screen replacement is now a $500 device replacement.

Ugh. I might be a little sour from my past experiences with Apple

The cockpit of the historical analog of the warp ship in "Star Trek First Contact" some time in the future will be made of Apple cards...

“As we look back on the demise of Earth, scientists have been able to pinpoint the exact moment when global warming reached the tipping point, setting in motion the fireball that would engulf the planet over the next 10 years.

It was early September 2019. Carbon monoxide emitted from a vehicle driven by a courier from Bloomberg Businessweek to the University of California, Berkeley was the gaseous straw that broke the climate’s back.

The reason for the courier’s journey could not be determined.”

Both available via search. 14.75 grams, anywhere from $30-50USD per kg Ti. So less than a dollar per card for the titanium, likely closer to $.50

Titanium is incredibly hard to work with. It's a very common element, but it oxidizes at the drop of a hat when heated, so they have to work with it in the presence of a noble gas. If you've ever researched titanium bicycles, there's a reason why they're considerably more expensive than steel or aluminum bikes, and it all comes down to the manufacture and handling.

So 10% aluminum will allow it to flex when we sit on our wallet so we don’t complain about it being too hard?

The fact that so many people are talking about this tells me Apple did the right thing by making the card out of titanium/aluminum. When is the last time you talked about your Amex or Costco Visa?

I have one of the Apple cards just for the heck of it. It will not go into my wallet, but I thought it was cool. I use Apple Pay almost all the time. Usually with my Amex, and now with my Apple Card. For groceries, it's Amex - 6% rebate. For gas, Costco Visa - 3% rebate. For everything else, its the Apple card with it's 2% (or 3% for Apple purchases)

Why does it even have the lame white coating anyway? Pure metal would have looked better. I feel like they went retro with the white like the old white eMac and iMac. Isn't the new Apple look dark metal and black?
