It's a great card for me because it has 0 fees on international transactions, I travel overseas alot so it saves me a ton. I am also lucky enough to be in a situation where I can pay the balance off every month so hey.

That’s the benefit. I have moved almost completely away from handing my cards to people. It’s so high risk when someone can take a phone picture in 2 seconds and be buying stuff online in no time.
I know, I like it too. But that would be my only guess as to why any place would refuse it.

If you buy much apple gear or services, the 3% cash back and 0% 12 month payment plans are a pretty good deal. I only use it for Apple things, and have never taken the physical card out of the sleeve.

Personally I've never had any issues paying with the AC. When it first came out I had quite a few restaurant staff comment on it, but in a positive way. One waitress dropped it and the entire place turned to see what that was)))

Not you, but other people have commented on reddit about having problems with Apple Card at restaurants.

Even the physical card gets rejected at a few places such as hotels, because it has no info besides the holder’s name printed on it, or US restaurants, because they still have to take away the cards to process the payment like it was still 1984 and Apple Card doesn’t always let them add the tip later on.
Ah, crazy! I didn’t know. It’s amazing how slow physical credit card tech has been to progress, and now that it’s progressing, how slow companies are to adopt the newer tech here in the US…

This just further goes to show me that Tim Cook is absolutely useless and is 100% terrible when it comes to understanding what consumers want and how to deliver them.
He is a good money man but a lousy pathetic product guy and the only new product that he can lay claim to is the Apple credit card and Apple Cash and both are US only after all these years which is inexcusable.
Tim Cook has no clue and needs to go!
Apple could easily release this around there world if they wanted to but they refuse as I think Cook is a cheapskate and simply refuses to pay what other banks are demanding.
He is the absolute worst and needs to go now!

The part where it's still US only sucks, but even if it were in Canada, my card has better advantages. I always pay with it and I've never paid a single cent of interest in nearly 20 years.

You don’t have to be american. You just need credit history, a SSN (which you have if you’ve ever lived there) and a valid US mailing address. I’m not american and I have an Apple Card.
This suggests that all people in the non-American world are fools, and that's the only reason they can't have a card.
I am a European and unfortunately I cannot get an Apple Card.

I don’t keep the physical card in my wallet and rarely use it online or with Face ID. For me, 2 points per dollar chase or capitol one points is much more valuable via their transfer partners than 3% cash back from apple/GS. Your mileage may vary.

I haven’t thought of actually getting an Apple Card. Guess I think I don't a different credit card experience. Works fine, no problems.

Curious: for those who switched, is it really worth it and why?
I moved to Germany and I record all my expenses. I purchase in Euros and the Wallet app shows me the Dollar amount immediately (which I what I record). And most purchases give me 2%. Also I have zero foreign transaction fee (but the exchange rate is not great). My “conventional” credit card gives me 1.5% cash back and a better exchange rate plus no foreign transaction fee either, but the purchase shows up in my banking app with a delay of 1-3 days. A nightmare for bookkeeping.

Also, very Apple-like, purchase history uses real language instead of some cryptic two-line text interspersed with useless-for-me digits, plus it offers a map of the merchant location. This is great for a shopping spree on holiday when I often don’t remember where a certain purchase was from.

There are strange rules in the card application where US state, but not federal, ID accepted. Make it make sense…

As the Federal Reserve raises interest rates do does all banks.
Yeah, I get that. And if you don’t pay the full amount you start getting interest here, which is tied to the interest rate decided by European Central Bank (ECB). But if you do pay the full amount within 45 to 60 days, there’s no interest at all.
