Agree - called again and Customer Service opened a case.
Thanks. I had to talk to CS multiple times about this but they finally agreed to open a dispute over it. Seems like a big hassle for what is really not even that big of a bonus... but you better believe I am going to hound them until they give it to me :p

lol MacRumors only post this article so they could get their own referral link in there ;)

If you can, why not! lol

They opened a dispute for me but I hope by the time it’s settled they don’t proclaim “Well, we see your point but the offer has ended now,” lol.

Just an update... I got an email from them on 10/4 saying that my dispute was resolved in my favor and that the $100 was applied to my account. Just one problem... I never received the money! So I called again today. Went through about 4 CS agents, one of whom tried to say that the promotion didn't apply to me, before I finally got a manager.

It turns out that the money really was applied to my account, but the only way to access it / see it is by logging in to card.apple.com, going to Settings, and it is listed there. Then you can apply it to your statement balance. Really terrible implementation, but at least it finally worked.

Still, this really reflects poorly on Apple... I know it the card is a Goldman Sachs product but it has Apple's name on it and they should do something about the terrible customer service that GS has. I can't believe how much time I wasted chasing down this stupid bonus. Now I'm reconsidering using this card to finance future Apple purchases.

Also this is petty but their "on hold" music is terrible and starts over every time they put you on hold. Almost designed to infuriate.

I also had a really weird experience. I got an email to resolve my case in which they said that my card, issued on 9/27 did not fulfill the requirements of the promotion because it required signing up between the 22nd and 30th [insert confused face] but “as a courtesy” they would issue me a $100 credit anyway.

This actually pissed me off more than if they never issued one at all, because it makes it look like I was lying even though Apple’s own, self-contradicting email makes it clear that I wasn’t.
