These aren’t even applicable on the most expensive phones, it was always on older models, to sell stock. Third party websites like Amazon have had much better discounts during any festival. And these offers weren't even on custom AirPods or AirPods Pro.

Also you have to remember, as much as it’ll cost you to buy a single iPhone directly from Apple in India, you could buy an iPhone and a pair of AirPods Pro in the US, and still have money left over. Apple does nothing to compensate consumers in India.

Seriously! You need to do some research before stating it like facts. Maybe start from finding a friend from Hong Kong or Taiwan and learn some culture first.
Here you go;
Taiwan: januari 1st, day of the republic and New-yearsday, no CNY
Nepal: jan 18: Sonam Losar (Tamang), april 14: New Years Day, Ganatantra Diwas: republic day, no CNY
Hong-Kong: januari 1st: New Years day, no CNY
Xinjiang: Uygur people: Noruz, Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha, no CNY..
Han-chinese culture will probably eventually replace these, which make it easier for apple marketing...

It's for an entire year, so if Xmas was celebrated for an entire year, it would get it's own special version. Why the hate and vitriol? Sheesh! ?‍♂️
ever seen an air-pod print-on of a rainbow in russia, Uyghur or Tibetan symbols in china? they would be instant hero for me. No vitriol, this may seem futile but has meaning and is sensitive to some cultures, perhaps not to you.
In abiding these laws, apple abets in the greater scheme.. I for instance would quit apple in a second when they allowed a swastika being printed..

Christmas is not an American holiday, it's a Christian one. The correct thing to do is for Apple to make a Statute of Liberty version for the July 1st -- a holiday for all Americans. They will not because ... well, we all know.
Apple already have western centric promotions like Black Friday sales, etc.

It’s just an engraving. If you want, just put a free custom emoji engraving on your next order of AirPods. There’s an emoji for the Statue of Liberty. ?

With the US basically have the most complete features and services from Apple, I’m really astonished that you guys got overly bitter over a tiny marketing gimmick like this.

Not really bitter -- at least I'm not. I just figure what is good for the goose is good for the gander so to speak. If symboolic engravings are a thing -- then they should be a thing in more than one locality. Otherwise, it looks like pandering.

Apple made a Black Unity Watch band. What do you say about that?

What are you talking about? China celebrities Jan 1st too, so does that mean China doesn’t celebrate CNY?

Both HK and TW have CNY as public holidays. And I think TW has more than a week off, I think they have the longest public for CNY around the world (correct me if I am wrong).

And what does Nepal got to do with everything?

Again majority of HK and TW people are also Han Chinese, so as most Chinese people live overseas.

Are you seriously suggesting a publicly traded company shouldn’t be respecting local laws in the nations they operate in?

online store and retail stores in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao.
I can't believe Apple has the gall to do business in those regions, treating them as separate entities with their own local currency.

It's one China, not four

Don’t know why they only sell these in Mainland China. There are plenty of places with significant populations that celebrate CNY (Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, etc.).
It’s so strange that this is my most downvoted post lol.

Do people not realize that there are places with lots of Chinese people that aren’t Mainland China? What am I missing hahaha

Apple probably looks at the overall buying power.
Guess which country that actually has the largest Chinese (race, not citizenship) population outside mainland China. It’s Indonesia. And yet Apple just put the country as an afterthought. Why? Because in the end, it’s about the revenue, and as a country, mainland China is just making more money for Apple left and right than these other countries… :(

Apple did have the same promo for other countries where CNY is a significant celebration as well, just that it did not get reported. These are just some examples from Apple Online Malaysia, Singapore and HK
