My God, you are cruel. Have you travelled much? Remember, karma is a bitch! And remember, the US once belonged to the Native Americans!!! Open your eyes, we outside of the USA are truly horrified with how your country is currently operating! GMO food, worst food in the world, 1 in 2 cancer, 70% reliant on medicine, 8 hours a day TV watching, 70% obesity. 1 in 2 children type 2 diabetes. That to me signals a very very sick country. Probably, the sickest in the entire world.
The DACA can teach every one a great deal and I applaud them. Diversity is what makes a country great!

You should ask those Native Americans you referred to how they felt about unchecked immigration and what happened...

I’ve travelled plenty... and I’m always happy to come home.

All of those “problems” you mentioned and people still want to come here. What does that tell you?

Also, the native Americans were also immigrants who most likely crossed the Bering bridge during the last ice age.

I think you put way too much stock in the weight of your words if you think they’re getting anyone upset. You come off as a caricature of the alt-right hate machine. Reminds me of a buddy of mine that’s become so obsessed and angry over the past few years that none of our friends invite him to anything anymore, because he can’t just have a nice time without becoming toxic. I feel sorry for people like you.
Do you think Tim, Jeff Bezos, etc really care about immigrants? human rights? equality? No, they don't.

For immigrants: Tim no doubt lives in an all white, christian/atheist neighborhood. Maybe he's a secret Alt-Righter? Ever think about that?

For human rights: Tim sells his products, makes his products and kisses the feet of, one-party dictatorships.

For equality: Tim as a gay man sells his products in middle eastern countries that kills his fellows, and never publicly criticize their practices.

So the point being is, these elite say whatever makes them feel good about themselves or give them good PR but when people are not watching, their true values always go against what they preach (list above).

It’s vile and disgusting that Tim Cook lobbies for dreamers but offers not a word to acknowledge anything negative about illegal immigration — not the harmful effects on citizens already here (seeing their wages driven down to compete with aliens), or denying Americans control of their own borders (while every other country claims the right to control their borders), or the Democratic Party even refusing to help the federal government deport criminals who are here illegally.

No, a globalist leftist elite like Tim Cook has nothing to say about any of that, except to reinforce it all by calling for the legalization of people who are here only because their families broke our laws FOR YEARS, and now they flop around on the floor like they’re the victim!

I hate Tim Cook. I hate him for his politics, I hate him for turning Apple far more political and I hate him for allowing Apple to lose its all-important focus on quality (“It Just Works”). He doesn’t belong at the head of a iconic AMERICAN company like Apple and I hope he’s removed one way or another.

And sadly these dishonest politicians are truly laughable. Their laws mean nothing. It's very sad that people believe their utter dishonesty which is promoted on American TV thanks to Fox and the Murdoch empire. Very very sad.
Thank God the rest of the world is an outsider to this hatred.

Ok... so they went from being illegals to dishonest. Got it.

Laws mean something. What laws do you follow?

Globalism is a sad sad thing.

Oh?

The great Stefan Molyneux clarifies this one perfectly: they are illegals, not undocumented immigrants.

When someone invades your home, you don't call them an undocumented homeowner, you call them an invader.

As a side note - No one is saying they aren't people. But they are here on grounds that aren't legitimate. Other countries enforce their borders, why is it so offensive that America tries to too? And why is it offensive when Trump brings itnup but when past presidents, of the opposing party no less, have argued for the same and it has been met with arms wide open?

If I decide I want to become a citizen in another country, there are rules I must follow
To become a citizen. I can't just buy a plane ticket and decide because I'm physically where I wanna be, I'm never leaving and going to take advantage of the benefits of that country.

It simply doesn't work like that.

And I'm ok with that.
Believe me, if these immigrants were competing with Tims, Mark Z, Jeff B jobs, they wouldn't be advocating them coming here. Stats prove this claim, look at the income and education level of the majority of these immigrants.

And this right there is the crux of the matter. The reason why all of these politicians, CEOs and many coastal liberals will never feel the impact of illegal immigration. A semi-literate chicken farmer from Mexico isn't going to ever become a technology CEO or a software engineer at Facebook or Google. Meanwhile, Joe working construction in Ohio will be losing his pants, because Juan is willing to do the same job for below minimum wage since sharing a bedroom with 5 people still beats living in a third world country with no indoor plumbing. Put any virtue signaling SJW in Joe's pants and they will suddenly become an "alt right Nazi" in short order. It's all about the economy stupid...

Last I heard, the Roman Empire was asking for its territory back.

They can come and get it, if they can, but their ballistas might not fare too well against precision guided munition.

Its funny to me, the left says corporations take advantage of consumers, but side with them when they import cheap labor, which lowers the wages of the most vulnerable of Americans (not Tim C, as you said), and then want the gov. to artificial give/raise the minimum wage, which causes further problems.

Summed up in 15 Seconds.

Tim C. doesn’t think about stuff like this when he virtue signals.

If you look at the US compared to the world, with 5% of the global population only, it becomes clear that we can not take in all comers. We would be overwhelmed and our country no longer run by Americans, and our culture and exceptionalism would slowly die out. Arguably that’s already happening.

With that in mind, would DACA improve or worsen our ability to control immigration? Clearly worsen, since it sends a massive signal that if you come here illegally, we’ll eventually legalize you and/or your kid at great profit to yourself.

DACA kids should be able to apply for immigration using the same criteria as any other foreigner. If not accepted, they can take their free education with them to improve their home countries.

I pay taxes, have 2 car loans, the struggle is real whenever my permit expires.. and while everyone has a right to voice an opinion.. we are all human and didn’t choose where or who we are born wether we have a status or not..

And yep.. good on Tim

The Dreamers are a special case and deserve special consideration. They were brought here as young children and may not even speak the language of the country of their parents' origin. Why is a country like the USA going to visit the sins of the fathers so to speak upon the minor children who had no say in where they were headed to when they "immigrated illegally". These kids are law abiding, working or in school and working, paying taxes, contributing to the economy.

I'm pleased that my (Republican) congress critter feels the way I do and wants to see the Dreamers settled into the country most of them have always called home. imo getting this settled equitably is becoming pretty much a bipartisan gig, and about time, too.

The kid may not have had a say, but the parents most definitely did. If you tell a parent that their kid will be able to become a normal "rich" American one day if only they can sneak across the border or overstay a tourist visa, billions of people will choose that. If we continue with the amnesty, we'll never stop illegal immigration. My sympathies for all the poor kids affected, but they're also no more deserving than a poor kid from anywhere else in the world that speaks English (like India).

Billions of people are not going to sneak across the borders or overstaying tourist visas. I don't know where you get that idea (and that number!) no matter your rationale for why a Mexican would want to immigrate to the USA illegally now.

Illegal immigration is already down, it has dropped since the Great Recession, mostly because of how slow the recovery was. That Dreamers are working is not known to have any impact on ability of non immigrants to find work. DACA program members are generally beneficial to the US economy.

Retaining Dreamers will not cause an increase in illegal immigration. The Trump administration ended the program's expansion and the issue to be resolved is only about permitting Dreamers already in the program to remain in the USA. They are not in the billions either, they are maybe 700k.

For anyone that has not looked into any of this and plans to throw out opinions based on reading a few short blubs, all illegal DACA individuals will not be rounded up and thrown out of the country if this is not settled by the end of the year.

This whole issue got thrown into the spotlight when lawsuits were threatened forcing the president to put this squarely on the shoulders of the house to fix this. He gave them 6 months, and clarified he will extend if needed. Unfortunately like many laws, this was shoved down America’s throat by the previous administration, hopefully someone will do their job in Washington and settle this once and for all.
It is a complicated issue. Few would argue that Anchor babies who were of course born in this country, or dreamers born elsewhere but brought here illegally, at a very young age by their parents or primary caregivers, have themselves broken any laws by that very act. And it would seem cruel and uncompassionate to break up (often hardworking and otherwise law-abiding) families by allowing the dreamers to stay here, while deporting their parents.

On the other hand, blanket amnesties will only encourage more of the same. Congress must deal with this tricky and delicate issue, and soon.

Edited for accuracy.

Still waiting for Mexico to allow illegal immigrants to flood into their country. Not going to hold my breath on that one.

For some crazy reason, Mexico seals it's borders shut, arrests or deports people who enter Mexico illegally, and makes it a crime for any non-Mexican to participate in political protest. They even have it written into their constitution that the ethnic demographics of Mexico must not change due to immigration.

I guess Mexico must be a very racist country.

Firstly, not a single "Dreamer" was born in the United States. Unfortunately, anchor babies are considered American citizens (for now anyway).

Secondly, a man and a woman rob a bank and use the proceeds of their crime to buy a house for their family. Guess police shouldn't arrest the criminals and confiscate their home. After all, it's not the kid's fault that his parents are bank robbers.

Thanks for pointing out my inaccuracy about Anchor babies; I've edited my post to reflect that.

However your analogy with the bank robbery proceeds, although technically equally illegal, is an extreme example. Many people will feel more compassion for illegal immigrants than for bank robbers.

Having said that, as I've posted above, blanket amnesties are a bad idea that will encourage and perpetuate this kind of law breaking.

1. I lump Dreamers in with the whole immigration system; illegal, Dreamers, Work Visas, and legal.

2. Just a question, if these Dreamers are such model citizens, wouldn't they make Mexico great and prosper? Why is Mexico a third world country then?

3. If my parents illegally came to Mexico, and had me, should I be able to stay there? If yes, doesn't this dispel the anti-colonialism narrative? Why are the whites of South Africa and other places being blamed, and punished for what their parents did? They didnt have a choice where they were born ether. Shouldn't they be able to live in a place they've known their whole lives too?
