My airpods work great on my iPhone, but on my 2016 MBP they never connect and if they do it breaks up constantly every 2 seconds.

Hoping it's a software thing, which wouldn't surprise me as Sierra 10.12.2 has been the buggiest version of macOS/OSX i've ever used.

Reviews of AirPods have been largely positive, with customers praising the sound quality, battery life, ease of connectivity, and better than expected Bluetooth range, but some users have been having battery trouble with their Charging Case.

I was interested in the AirPods, as my EarPods are broken and hang up phone calls, start and stop music without me pressing the button.

I thought they were a little pricey, but I really like the EarPods, the fit and the sound, so I was going to buy them after checking out reviews on them.

All the reviews are mostly positive, except a few negatives that are not being reported that much. One being that the only way to adjust the volume on the AirPods during a phone call is by physically touching the phone and change the volume.

It cannot be done by the AirPods or the AW if you have one. The AW can change the volume, just not during a phone call. So, if you have the iPhone in your backpack or purse, you cannot easily adjust the volume like it is advertised on their website.

This is a deal killer for me, which sucks because I was hoping for a somewhat seamless replacement for the EarPods. This isn't being reported that much, so I guess this doesn't bother most people.

What else would Cook say to the question? It really means nothing. Personally I'm not interested in AirPods. I don't like the in-ear designs, fit, or sound quality.

This older, but relevant, comparison done in the word choice in presentations between Jobs and Cook is enlightening: https://www.techinasia.com/apple-language

Changes since Jobs:
1. Apple’s language is getting less functional and more emotional.
2. Apple is increasingly emphasizing the word new.
3. Subconsciously reminding us of the glory days?

Interesting article. Worth a read. Showing us why some of us long time Apple people are getting annoyed increasingly.

The AirPods are great. They stay in my ears better than the EarPods, but they do come loose after 30-45 minutes and sometimes shorter if I'm moving around a lot. The EarPods would fall out in a minute. I wish that Apple provided some tips or hooks with them to wedge them in my ears better. I saw something called ear hoox or something like that which might help but the newer ones that work with the AirPods are all out of stock. Otherwise the pairing is great, the battery is great, I love checking the charge level by flipping the case open near my iPhone, the range is phenomenal all the way across opposite ends of my decent sized two story house using my iPhone 7, and I love how they turn themselves on and off and pause playback when I pull one out of my ear to talk to someone. They'd be the best earbuds ever if they stayed in my ears better. I can usually tell when they're coming loose but they have fallen out a few times.

I decided to take some photos of my ears. They don't seem strange at first glance, but if you look at the bottom part just below the ear canal where they would cup an earbud, it looks like it has less of the lower ridging that holds one secure compared to other ears that I've looked at. Most ears sweep down at a smooth angle with this lower ridge, but mine sweeps down smoothly, then takes a slight downward turn and blends into the ear. Previously I thought it was because my ear canals are bigger, and while that may be true to a certain extent, it definitely seems to be the lower ridging that isn't keeping them in place. Would it be ridiculous to get minor cosmetic surgery for this? It's just ear cartilage which shouldn't be tricky to reform, and it's a tiny area, lol. Probably not worth the cost, but damn if I don't like these AirPods!

I have the AirPods. I like them. Definitely don't love them. I have a feeling as people start traveling on planes with them love affairs will stifle.
There are definitely things that can improve on, like volume controls and skipping songs, but other than that I think it just depends on the fit of your ears. The fit is great for me so I don't think losing them will be an issue.

I've been a huge Apple fan (and purchases of too many products to remember) for over 20 years, but I am completely fed up with the way Apple has designed, sold and handled their product launches the last couple of years and want to see some change. The culture of a company comes right from the top, and that's where I want to see some changes in 2017.

I want Apple to read MR and realize that there is a large group of consumers who are not happy, and are ready to jump ship to Dell, Microsoft, etc. That's the only way, in my opinion, this company will change. They seem to be eating their own dog food right now, so to speak.

Their product launches are a colossal fail. I don't know how anyone could argue otherwise rationally
