So if you are on the phone to your right ear so you always make sure he tower it's connected to is on your right? And when at home only use the ear closest to the router?
Also, gotta be really careful next to a Bluetooth speaker. Never know where it's source it's source might be.

I believe its fairly mild temperature wise in NYC at the moment a low of 1 degree C
In OPs video the numpty interviewer that says he has been 'wondering around like a homeless person' for AirPods should take his microphone and shove it where the sun doesn't shine, given a cardboard box and when its -5 < degrees C next month - spend a night in NYC on the streets.
I'm sure he'll be 'wondering around then like a homeless person' to keep warm, and wouldn't make such a crass quip again.
What a unprofessional insensitive idiot, especially at Christmas when the homeless are alone away missed more than ever by family.
Appalling reporting.

These things are dangerous, the signal from airpod to airpod - travels directly through the brain. No thanks

Cook wants to literally "cook" your brains.

A few miliwatts of RF energy isn't going to do anything to your brain. Educate yourself on what RF energy is and its effects on organic tissue before commenting.

Might want to take a look at energy density and exponential drop off of radiation energy while you're at it.

Don't be upset. Don't buy them if you don't like them. Option #2 Buy Apple stock! If it makes $ the stock will go up. It also seems that those that don't like them don't have them and have never used them.

So what you're saying is Q1 2017 will be basically right in line with Q1 2016 despite several new product launches including a major revamp of the MBP lineup, the Apple Watch Series 2, new Beats as well as the AirPods and the iPhone 7? Pardon for pointing this out, but where exactly is the huge increase you're crowing about, Snaps?

No, that's what you are saying. Everybody is expecting flat yoy revenue for the quarter from Apple and other similar tech companies. That's a given.

As I referenced Q4 2016 revenue along with Q1 2017 guidance, I was hoping you would make the connection that was what was being compared, especially since for the last few quarters Apple has been taking a hit.

130$ is just too much IMO. I have a great sounding pair of sennheiser over-ears that were 100$, and I can't imagine these being anywhere near the sound quality. I get that theres a convenience factor for certain users, but I imagine they could probably sell these for 80$ and still turn a profit.

Not to mention, do these even work well on non-apple hardware? I get apple is a closed ecosystem, but a pair of traditional earpods still work on any device with a 3.5mm jack. (which is my appeal with regular headphones, they work in any device). If these only really work well with apple products, it seems even sillier to spend that much on them.

Many thought 2016 was going to be the year of VR, but because of the lack of content and expensive devices it failed. Google made the VR bet and released a VR friendly phone called the Pixel. This phone failed so bad that it didn't even make the top 25 during the 2016 holiday season.

In contrast, Apple didn't go all in on VR, but released a product where there is a lot of content for it like music, podcasts, etc. The product is so much better than the competition and so popular that it's back ordered until February 2017.

Now all the butthurt Android humbugs are complaining that Tim is bragging about how good sales are. Does this mean Apple's vastly superior ecosystem is crushing their junk Android product sales? Maybe Android manufacturers will be lucky this year and make a whole dollar.

Well of course it's a hit. When you take away the headphone jack , you don't leave people many options.

Airpods is practically the only product I've been excited about under Tim's reign, can't wait to get mine, I think Apple has a true hit with this one.

Well, I don't see how you can say something is a runaway success when it's only been out a week and a half, and as others have noted Tim Cook isn't exactly an unbiased judge of anything Apple, so a positive statement from him is pretty much meaningless.

That said, the reviews I've seen have been positive (complaints about price aside,) and you certainly can't call them a failure, either. Time and sales will be the ultimate judge of the success of the AirPods. My ultimate hope is that the technology developed and incorporated in them will spread to other devices and the price drop as well. That will be the true win for consumers.

I am a little tired of feeling like Apple is playing us. There are always "leaks", there are always shortages of new products. I have to wonder if this is all stage managed. Let's face it if something is easy to get and we know all about it before it is available, what is the life of the "news" around it's release? Just like a movie with all the hype, if it's no good, we never hear about it again - Suicide Squad as an example. Yet great movies never die. So does anybody else think Apple might just be using the media to get free hype? I love my Apple products, which are ALL the latest models but if it is stage managed then I have to wait sometimes for long periods to get what I want when it could be available sooner. I love to know what is coming up. The first click of every day for me is Mac Rumours. So how about Apple being as good as delivering products sooner and in reasonable numbers as they are at designing them??? How is a product that couldn't be released anywhere near it's promised time be a runaway success. At best it's a late comer success. My 2c
Nothing is staged. Apple is a build to order company. What they do a gauge demand by doing pre-orders and the like. Then that is what gets released initially to the stores and to users. They then ramp up from there. So while there is likely to always be shortages initially after a few months Apple will catch up to demand. They probably are doing better than expected with the AirPods given the stellar reviews of the product and the good word of mouth. TBQH it shouldn't matter to you what Apple is saying to appease shareholders and the like if the products are what you wanted to purchase. As long as the products are working for you that is what should matter.

I'll stick to my superior sounding wired headphones that don't require daily charging or the inevitable obsolescence when the batteries can't hold a charge.

I won't buy a smartphone because of the inevitable obsolescence when the batteries can't hold a charge said no one ever.
