Even if I was paid that kind of money, I don't think I could spend it.
If we didn't have Execs like this in our lives I wouldn't be able to use the tech I have the pleasure of using today!
KUDOS to all the CEO's and the team of innovators they have brought together to give us the ability to what we all do in what ever brings us joy, brings us together and enables us to do our jobs.
The same goes for all those that spend countless hours developing open source innovations that continue to improve our lives ... two different worlds ... a multiverse ... I for one am truly grateful for both ... good on you Tim (I wouldn't want your job) and KUDOS to all the open source developers out there ... raising a glass!

Good, he deserves it. He has been fantastic for Apple’s shareholders (which is a CEO’s number 1 job). 👍🏻

How many people did Apple lay off compared to other companies and what where the bonuses those companies gave to their C-suites. (Also, remember the article stated part of the 74 million included travel expenses etc)
Last year Microsoft laid off what 9k+
How many tech/gaming companies shut-down?
I don’t remember the year, but I believe it was Ford, the CEO got a 25 million bonus, but they laid off a lot of people that same year.
I know Apple laid some people off last year, but they also generally first try to reallocate them or allow them to apply to a different part of the company before letting them go

Today, someone famous said CEOs shouldn't earn more than $5 million. I agree.
ahhh that is why 200USDs gets you from 256 to 512GB on a mac
and 300USDs gets me from 0 to 4TB on my gaming windows laptop.

I congratulate him on winning capitalism. Mostly I find it confusing as to what insatiable hole billionaires are trying to fill with wealth exceeding hundreds of millions. At some point it has to be diminishing returns on quality of life improvements, but I'm no expert. My bar for "enough" is orders of magnitude less.

The only reason? So you are saying that you are happy with the iPhone and iOS, but are transitioning to a system you don't like any better, simply because of the guy that runs one of the companies? That's commitment!
