Ages ago? How about less than a month ago. In any case, what's your conclusion/assessment after reading and soaking in the story?
Like with all other reviews it's a very capable low powered CPU. Still no matter how good the hardware is, it's only as good as it's software.

I use PC's and Mac's depending on what I want. Both have pro's and con's. At the end of the day it's just a tool.

As how Steve Jobs showed respect to others?

Tangentially, I sometimes wonder if Jobs would still be CEO today if he had not died. I’m inclined to think he’d have been cancelled a long time ago and probably replaced by Cook anyway. I definitely cannot imagine him kowtowing to all the world’s ‘current thing’ social justice storylines.

Congratulations and outstanding job Mr. Cook.

But I'm ready for a new CEO to take over Apple. Give Mr. Craig Federighi a chance before he departs from Apple.
Oh come on, I know Craig is likeable what with the hair & all. But his whole tenure has been caretaking a software division that Scott Forstall was an architect of. Take away the unfair Apple Map crap his track record is superior even if he had to be a dick to it, results are results. I get Craig is at the company and Scott's in exile (interesting how he's never taken a position with another company after Apple) but still. Besides if they do promote in house COO Jeff Williams aka Tim Cook mk II is the next in line.

uh what has Zendaya innovated?? Her article is just gushing saccharine praise, but no specifics of any innovation on her part.

Other than that the most surprising thing is Tom Brady knowing who Rafael Nadal is? Also I notice no spot for the person social & mainstream media was hollering about last year. The first female Vice President, hmm I wonder why *cackles maniacally.

Kind of an odd selection of other notable people, MR. Love most of them but...do any of these have any relevance to tech or Apple beyond a few having some connections to Apple TV+?

Indeed, especially if you consider that there are others on the list that influence many more people's life like the one person that is portrayed by Alexei Navalny or the one that got portrayed by Joe Biden.

I agree, at least for me, it influenced my life a lot. Everytime my mac crashes, or a bug incurrs (very often) i say things like “****ing Cook” (in my language it sounds worse), so yes, it influences a lot the apple ecosystem experience. And i’m serious, not ironic.

Seems it does OK against regular powered CPUs.

Different people are needed at different points in Apple's history. My guess that even if Steve Jobs were still alive now, he would likely have stepped down by now anyways.

Craig Federighi is just a charming guy. He’s actually very smart and knows what’s up. Just look at how he handled the whole CSAM stuff. He was very transparent and blunt and even said, the way it was presented was wrong. It had misled too many things.

Yes, the software has had its quality control issues. He's not the one to blame. There is a whole team behind it. It’s just a lack
of pure motivation. Don’t forget Craig is behind the Universal Control on iPad/Mac. I strongly believe he is all about innovation and hitting the ground.

Don't tell me you want Eddy Cue as the CEO of Apple? ?
The buck stops at the top. It's his job to clear out the software problems, or he's the problem. As a software dev, I am simply speechless at the ridiculous bugs that get through. Do they even have a testing team?

I'm not super familiar with the Apple execs, but my best guess if we were going to install someone internally, would be Johny Srouji. The M1 hardware has largely been brilliant. The biggest thing holding it back has been the software.

Summary: Srouji is competent, Federighi is incompetent.

It’s one thing to run a department and another to head an entire company the size of Apple.

In terms of experience, Eddy Cue would still be a better fit than Craig (this doesn’t mean I am in favour of Eddy heading Apple, just that if we wanted to establish a pecking order, Craig would actually be far behind in the queue).

I maintain that whoever is next in line should ideally have worked his way up via the supply chain route, or have experience dealing with this aspect. The best designed products at Apple are useless if you can’t make enough to sell.
