"iPhone 6 and 6 Plus Demand 'Far Outstripping' Supply"

There are plenty of iPhone 6 & 6 plus's available right now.
In every color & size.

on eBay.

This problem of "Demand 'Far Outstripping' Supply" has nothing to do with Apple's production, preparation etc. etc..

And it will continue to happen with each launch until they can find a way to prevent all the *## holes out there that buy dozens and dozens of phones before/during launch and then scalp them on eBay.

Go take a look at eBay right now.
Search for iPhone 6.
Select an auction.
Look at the sellers "other items for sale" and see how many other iphone 6's that same seller has available for sale.

And check out how much they are selling for.

Here's one example:

This is why they are "sold out".

Alongside the sales reports, they should announce how many of the "sold" phones have been actual activated and in use.
Should be an interesting number.

Today is 8 after a 1-2 day pre-order. Tracking says it is shipped, and has been in Hong Kong 3 days, with a notice - "Re-routed - Recovery Action Underway".

I ordered the iPad Air 2 Brown Leather case at the same time - said ships in 2-3 days. That arrived yesterday, EXCEPT, they sent the wrong case. It is for the iPad Air, not the iPad Air 2.

Tried returning it yesterday, webpage says to call a number for a reason why, after 20 mins on hold and pressing multiple voice prompts, then get a recorded message to use the web to return it.

So now I have no iPad air 2 which has been lost in Hong Kong, more 400% behind schedule, and the wrong case for it 300% behind schedule.

Very poor service.

I hope Apple go to a different release schedule in the future. Stagger computers and iDevices again throughout the year?

And for new designs, wouldn't it be smarter to start the assembly a bit earlier? Like a couple of months earlier to anticipate build issues and demand? At least move the iPads to Spring so they can account for more iPhones being available in a variety of countries at launch.

Yeah, I know it's about money and making people go nuts over the product.
