Liberals like Cook and Co. support diversity but not diversity in thought.
Anything against their agenda is “hate”.

You do realize the Q in LGBTQ was considered "hate speech" not long ago, don't you?Calling someone a nazi is a far cry from calling for every LGBTQ or Latino or whatever be killed on sight.
No music promoting white supremacy. Lots of music celebrating sexual assault and cop killing. This is the problem with taking sides and trying to identify some evils that bother you - there will always be other evils you accept that are objectively as bad. Does Louis Farrakhan still have a voice on Apple? He still does on Twitter despite being a Jew hating lowlife. I don’t envy modern companies all this hair splitting. They cannot be a free for all because some moron starts posting porn or something else vile and so they start trying to enforce rules and it’s hard to get it correct. It’s hard for laws to sort this stuff out.
Correct. So in the mean time Apple is merely denying their customers easy access to any information they don't agree with. It's like being an ISP in an anti net neutrality world.

I can tell from the replies who hates Muslims, non Christians , immigrants, other minorities, women not in kitchens, women who like to have a choice and people who don’t want to be discriminated for their life and the poor and those in need
Well Macrumors, you guys have indeed chosen the right category for this article. "Politics"
Extra "Moderation-Kudos" for that to the admin, it is safely contained here
I wouldn't touch that topic with a ten-foot pole.
I believe in some things that Cook does and others I think are outrageous. His “censorship” by a team of hypersensitive Californians sitting in a room moderating everything to whatever fits their side of the political spectrum is one that I disagree with. You can always not buy Apple products and come to this forum if you don’t like cook and co. For his beliefs. Go on.
Division is just the nature of the beast with politics now. Negative ads are so prevalent because all of the research shows they are the ones that work. This utopia that idealists seem to want to strive for us to achieve is just not practical. I don't fault them for wanting it, but it's just not realistic to expect it.
So unless they are going to get rid of everything from both sides (which obviously shouldn't happen) it's always going to look like a subjective half measure that opens them up to claims of censorship. Which is why they should not be in the business of curating the content at all.
Who gets to decide what constitutes hate speech? Is it a panel? Can I be on it?
It’s not censorship to refuse to let someone use your stage. They can still go somewhere else to speak
The dumbest comment right from the start.I am impressed. I guess this beats news of Amazon briefly passing Apple market cap. Now where is my iPhone SE Timmy?
Apple wasn’t created primarily with tax payer money. The internet as we know it was. Flawed argument.
It’s just as accurate as saying there is music promoting white supremacy. Honestly, this is just more evidence of their bias when it comes to what’s right and wrong.I don’t know that I agree that any of that music is ‘black supremacy’ but yes there is questionable music that seems to promote sexual assault, violence etc and yes it can be seen as hypocritical to allow that but then do something like remove a podcast created by someone labeled as a neo nazi
There is no such thing as hate speech.
This thread has restored my faith in humanity. I have thought that we are irreversibly got lost into a horror of political correctness.
There is a good old quote which says: "I do not agree with the single word you said, but I will to the death defend your right to say it".
