No music promoting white supremacy. Lots of music celebrating sexual assault and cop killing. This is the problem with taking sides and trying to identify some evils that bother you - there will always be other evils you accept that are objectively as bad. Does Louis Farrakhan still have a voice on Apple? He still does on Twitter despite being a Jew hating lowlife. I don’t envy modern companies all this hair splitting. They cannot be a free for all because some moron starts posting porn or something else vile and so they start trying to enforce rules and it’s hard to get it correct. It’s hard for laws to sort this stuff out.

Desperate to find the whataboutism, huh? Farrakhan is horrible, but he's a very spent force. Only good for a fetish from the white side. Does Farrakhan have a podcast on Apple where he says those things? I don't think so. I guess I don't listen to the same rapey black music you do.

I can tell from the replies who hates Muslims, non Christians , immigrants, other minorities, women not in kitchens, women who like to have a choice and people who don’t want to be discriminated for their life and the poor and those in need

It's kind of a signature, isn't it. It all fits together in a primitive world view.

Division is just the nature of the beast with politics now. Negative ads are so prevalent because all of the research shows they are the ones that work. This utopia that idealists seem to want to strive for us to achieve is just not practical. I don't fault them for wanting it, but it's just not realistic to expect it.

So unless they are going to get rid of everything from both sides (which obviously shouldn't happen) it's always going to look like a subjective half measure that opens them up to claims of censorship. Which is why they should not be in the business of curating the content at all.

You can always not buy Apple products and come to this forum if you don’t like cook and co. For his beliefs. Go on.
I believe in some things that Cook does and others I think are outrageous. His “censorship” by a team of hypersensitive Californians sitting in a room moderating everything to whatever fits their side of the political spectrum is one that I disagree with.

And thanks for making my point.

Maybe the problem is with you, who can't seem to differentiate between a respectful argument and curses and lies being hurled at each other.

If you need an excuse to publicly despise on another persons belief and world view who is not physically or economically harming anyone then you can log out of his forum, sell your Apple product and go use other products and services. No one is forcing you to side with Cook and Apple

It’s not censorship to refuse to let someone use your stage. They can still go somewhere else to speak

Technically, it is censorship. It is also Apple's right to do so.

The challenge is that right now the topic of censorship is 'hate speech'... whatever that means to Apple. What's next? Religion? News outside of Apples 'approved' list of providers? Where does this end? Who gets to choose the next topic for elimination?

I don’t know that I agree that any of that music is ‘black supremacy’ but yes there is questionable music that seems to promote sexual assault, violence etc and yes it can be seen as hypocritical to allow that but then do something like remove a podcast created by someone labeled as a neo nazi
It’s just as accurate as saying there is music promoting white supremacy. Honestly, this is just more evidence of their bias when it comes to what’s right and wrong.

I definitely agree with you, however, that tons of music promotes assault, stereotyping cops and promoting revenge on them, spousal abuse, etc.

This is why they shouldn’t be taking a side at all and just let musicians do their thing. No matter how sickening some music is out there, I don’t think it should be removed. The second you do that, you’re entering gray area founded on opinion, not fact.

There is no such thing as hate speech.

Hate speech definitely exists, but it's hard to define - which is why it's dangerous to ban "hate speech" because there's really no way to determine what it constitutes. There's also that "pesky" First Amendment.

We as a society need to stop trying to ban words and speech, if for no other reason than it allows us to identify who the a$$holes are.
