Why do you care so much what Cook does on his own time and dime?

Because this looks like a ******* release is why.

He should lock himself in a room with the designers and engineers and actually make a real new product instead of messing around in politics.

you didn't read close enough. Tim Cook is doing this as a private citizen. There is no Apple involvement.
Tim Cook is the CEO of Apple Inc. a world class, ultra high visibility company. He's not just an average Joe. As such it's bound to impact Apple. Anyone including Cook himself that feels differently, fails to understand the dynamics involved.

This is a stupid, stupid move.

please feel free to design a better phone since you are smarter than everyone at Apple.

Interesting how someone who claims to be located in Germany wants to tell a USA based company how to interact with candidates running for The President of the United States of America.
Hmm, interesting.
If my opinion is void, why are you bothered by it?

Also, the article specifically states they are doing this on a personal, not on a company level.

Also, mind you in this instance I'm not telling someone how to act a certain way, I was merely highlighting what he DOES.

Yeah I know republicans who will now switch to Windows computers and Android phones now that Tim Cook plans on holding a fundraiser for Hillary. I am sure Apple will see a massive drop in sales and a huge loss in profit.

Why do you care so much what Tim Cook does on HIS own time, his own dime, and most importantly, his private life?

Do you have restrictions placed on your time outside of work?

You do realize that anything Tim does will be reflected as an Apple event? He is too well known. Separation for Tim from the Apple public paradigm is pretty much impossible.

I wonder how much it will cost to shake Hillary's hand? Sit at her table? Speak a word to her? Have a word spoken back?

I at least know it will take a requisite lack of cancerous tumor!

How dare he spends his free time with taking part in politics?!

Why doesn't he just silently vote and forget about it for 3.5 years like the rest of the general public?
The nerve he has to take this "democracy" thing seriously...

Glassed Silver:mac

Free time? This is on the clock . In the west the bribery is under the table.....you have to keep sweet both camps, whoever wins you want receptive to your ideas and influence ;)

You DO realize that he is doing this on his own time as a private citizen...right? Just because he's a CEO doesn't mean he somehow lost his right as a citizen to be involved in politics. Did you criticize any other CEO's that held or participated in fund raisers for other candidates? Did you criticize when he held a fundraiser for Paul Ryan in June?

Stick to business Apple. Pisses me off that they even are going anywhere near politics. I think America needs to take a year off and try again for new nominees. Man this really is not what I wanted to read today.

As usual, a male dominated online forum trashes a female public service candidate, recycling the old same crap from Faux Noise as evidence of her "dishonesty" or "corruptness".:rolleyes::rolleyes:

You actually consider Hillary a female public service candidate? More like a female(?) public self serving candidate.

"*******" release? Hyperbole much? Still top notched hardware and software. Also it's not like Apple holds a gun in your head and forces you to buy iPhone.

I'm also sure people like you don't talk like this when Google CEO and execs meets/ mingles with politicians to get what they want.

Very innovative argument.

Well vote for Donald Trump. I'm sure he's a better candidate.

So if John Stumpf endorses Hillary the US public will notice?
Sorry, Tim Cook has three aspects:
  1. Public which is seen as Apple
  2. Work which is seen as Apple
  3. Private which is Tim.
Publicly endorsing Hillary is seen as Apple.

As an Indépendant, I'm currently undecided. At the present I consider Trump the lesser of two evils of which one will sit in the OO.

Clearly I don't see anything wrong with that. As a matter of fact BECAUSE of that I'm planning on upgrading my 2 iPhone 6s plus, Apple Watch and MacBook when the new releases come out. I like to give my money to companies that support my beliefs.

You can also do the same thing.

You do realizes this isn't an Apple sponsored event and that private citizen and private citizens can do certain things with their own time.

The only people who are so delusional as to think this is an official endorsement from Apple are mouth breathing, Fox viewing, low information voters.

Please link and cite the black Muslim women Hillary has killed...

Apple makes billions of dollars selling in Apple products to and in those same regimes so your fake outrage is pathetic and unbelievable. Second Apple makes most of its products in China, who doesn't have the best human rights record.

Tim Cook should hold a fund raiser for Trump who has no connections or business dealing in the Middle East and have vowed to find a peaceful solution to all international conflicts without resorting to killing a single terrorist.

I don't even know where to begin with that bucket of insanity you posted.

How many times did Trump declare bankruptcy, was it three or four?

So now being Senator for four years and Secratary of State for four years doesn't count as a real job? I guess only ditch diggers like you have "real jobs".

Sure, here is one brown woman in Libya, a Muslim majority country, and she was butchered by Killary’s terrorists she helped to overthrow Qaddafi with:

Some dead black men killed by Hillary’s terrorists

Virtually guaranteed this black man was killed by Hillary’s terrorists

Another dead brown woman, victim of Killary’s War

And if you are unaware that it was Hillary’s War, I suggest you read these 2016 pieces:

Boy, I just love it when a random Internet commenter thinks he/she understand the dynamics of how business and politics interact better than the leader of the world's most profitable company.

:)

So you are suggesting he forego his First Amendment rights simply because he is the CEO of Apple? Did he use the Apple Platform to announce this? Please link to the comment you made against Cook back in June when he participated in the fundraiser for Paul Ryan.

Where did I say it bothered me? I simply said I found it interesting.
