Can you please list her achievements as a senator and as a secretary of state? Serious question.

Serious question do you believe being a Senator is a real Job, yes or no? Serious question do you believe Secretary of State is a real job, yes or no?

MILITARY / VETERANS / FIRST RESPONDERS

• As a U.S. Senator, Clinton was a champion for our service members and veterans. Hillary Clinton was the first New Yorker to serve on the Senate Armed Services Committee and made veterans a main focus. She introduced the Heroes at Home Act in 2006 and 2007 to help family members care for those with Traumatic Brain Injury. She also worked to increase the military survivor benefit from $12,000 to $100,000, and cosponsored the Support for Injured Servicemembers Act to extend benefits provided under the Family and Medical Leave Act. Hillary also worked across the aisle to keep the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station open during a time when the Pentagon was shuttering bases, which saved 800 jobs in upstate New York.

• Hillary Clinton, as a U.S. Senator, worked with Republicans to expand health care for National Guard members and reservists. According to McClatchy, then-Senator Clinton worked with Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) to “provide full military health benefits to reservists and National Guard members.” A statement from Graham’s senate office said, “Senators Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-NY) today announced that the Department of Defense Authorization bill conference report finalized today includes an amendment that will improve TRICARE benefits for National Guard members and Reservists, allowing all members of the Selected Reserve and their families to enroll in TRICARE with an across the board cost-sharing of 28 percent. Today’s victory builds on the Senators’ longstanding commitment to ensuring that members of our National Guard and Reserve and their families have access to the health care benefits they need and deserve.”

• Hillary stepped up for New York in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks, fighting hard to secure funds for medical assessment, referrals and outreach for 9/11 rescue and recovery workers, and volunteers.

IMMIGRATION

• As Senator, Hillary Clinton fought to pass the DREAM Act and comprehensive immigration reform, helping to cultivate awareness of the issues in Congress. She introduced the Legal Immigrant Children’s Health Improvement Act, which would give states the option to provide federally funded Medicaid and SCHIP benefits to low-income legal immigrant children and pregnant women. She also wrote the Access to Employment and English Acquisition Act to meet the growing demand for English language courses and other job skills.

HEALTH CARE

• Hillary wrote a law as Senator providing grants to state and local governments to pay for respite care services for family caregivers, which allows expanded funding for temporary breaks for caregivers of sick or disabled people.

• One of Hillary’s Senate bills to distribute flu vaccines more efficiently inspired provisions of a law promoting the production and stockpiling of vaccines to improve our response to public health emergencies.

WOMEN & CHILDREN

• Hillary Clinton worked in the Senate to strengthen the State Children’s Health Insurance Program, introducing multiple bills allowing states to expand the program that she helped create as First Lady. The program, created in 1997, increased health coverage for children in low income and working families. Hillary also co-wrote a law compelling drug companies to conduct safety tests for products prescribed for children, and wrote a component of the No Child Left Behind Act authorizing funding for recruiting and retaining better teachers.

• Hillary Clinton was a powerful advocate for women in the Senate and was one of the original cosponsors of the Prevention First Act to increase access to family planning. As Senator she was a strong defender of a woman’s right to choose.

The point made here is he should not have the time for this.

And the people who think that are insane and delusional.

I do. And I also do think being a CEO is a real job.

Are there bad apples in the bunch? Yes. Case in point: Donald Trump.

But the majority of them work long hours, travel constantly, read an insane amount of documents/ information, make important decisions under pressure, have accountability to boards/ congress/ parliaments. None of which Donald Trump has done.

So yes I do think Hillary Clinton has been doing a real and effective job.

Where did I say it bothered me? I simply said I found it interesting.
You didn't say that directly, but your wording implied that you're at least not positively surprised.

Free time? This is on the clock . In the west the bribery is under the table.....you have to keep sweet both camps, whoever wins you want receptive to your ideas and influence ;)
Good point actually.

Doubt it's much different in the East [Coast?] though.

Would it come in orange or black and white stripes?

Who told you that, the media? Because everything the media tells you is trustworthy and believable.

I lol at Clinton supporters that can watch side by side views of her lies followed by Comey telling the truth behind that lie, one after the other. And then she brushed it off as a mistake? How we all watched her lie about Benghazi, how they all ask about Trump's tax releases, but nobody asks about the transcripts of Hillary's $153 MILLION Wall Street speeches, Clinton Foundation scandals, Whitewater.....and then we talk about Bush's war crimes....would that be the war Hillary voted for in Senate? This woman and her husband have been involved in controversy, investigations, scandals, indictment hearings impeachment, perjury, and 1 thing after another for over 30 years straight and lemmings....er....supporters blindly follow. Curious, do you seriously believe Clinton is running because she cares about the country? Her speech last night said she will be a 3rd Obama term, AND she will be a change agent....which is it? Change or more of the same?

And this is why enormous public figures should not take sides. You risk alienating 1 side or the other.

Narcissistic much? You hate them so EVERYBODY hates them because everybody thinks like you? The menace is people that believe everything they hear and read, and then base their opinions on that.

Here is the funny thing. He had the Apprentice which was a highly successful show which enjoyed extremely high ratings, earned him a lot of fans. He was a very positive figure in the public eye, the example of a success story in America. Then he runs for politics, and all of a sudden he is a liar, a failure, a con artist, he got all his money from his father, etc.

There seems to be this new mindset in America, we root for success until it happens, and then we do our best to knock em down. The rich must pay their "fair share." I used to believe that until the question came up of what is considered rich? The top 8th earners of the country are considered rich. So for arguments sake if my wife were a nurse making $65K and I were a cop making $70K (We aren't and we're not) our combined income of $135K has us in that top 8% and makes us rich. Woo hoo! So therefore after Federal and state taxes, Social Security, Disability, the new regular monthly payment of over $800 per month for Health Insurance, Property Taxes, sales taxes, sin taxes, our fair share would be about 75% of our income. Does that sound about right? This country is getting frightening.

So Clinton's emails and Benghazi are bigger crimes compared to Bush's war crimes for 8 years which crumbled America's economy and ENRON scam he was involved that got covered up. Typical of Republicans they just cry and shutdown the government they go with feelings making up this lie the economy is worse when the economy is doing a lot better but there those lazy or idiots who say there are no jobs, did they even bother applying for a job?

Trump loves to repeat himself and probably has the amnesias already he always says he never said racist or bigot comments when it was broadcasted everywhere liberal and no liberal news networks. Is he going to go all raging orange and call the whole internet liberal media?

You claim to hate both sides but only rabidly bash a democrat using republican talking points.

File this under H for Hypocrite.

I used the same exact talking points anyone who hates $Hillary uses.
If the top were the Republicans I would have replied to them as well.

How dare he spends his free time with taking part in politics?!

Why doesn't he just silently vote and forget about it for 3.5 years like the rest of the general public?
The nerve he has to take this "democracy" thing seriously...

Can you really call the corporate bribe fest in the US a democracy..?

There's a lot to like about the US, but the political system is truly screwed up.

I wouldn't worry too much about the US economy becoming ruined. It's already in ruins.

But Tim lining up behind professional criminals do rise questions.

Trump is a pro in crime he uses his gut feelings to stop crime while the FBI uses statistics not magic tricks to stop crime. Oh wait Trump is a criminal and should be in prison with Bernie Madoff.

Clearly I don't see anything wrong with that. As a matter of fact BECAUSE of that I'm planning on upgrading my 2 iPhone 6s plus, Apple Watch and MacBook when the new releases come out. I like to give my money to companies that support my beliefs.

You can also do the same thing.

Would you like to see what they release before committing to buy straight away ?

Yes and they are republican taking point, and your fake outrage is both obvious and pathetic. I did a quick search in the macrumors thread about Cook hosting a fund raiser for Paul Ryan but didn't find posts by you expressing your outrage....

Why read when you can have Fox News spoon feed you your opinions?

O course, any question about Clinton makes me a Trump supporter right? A crazy right wing?
Because I'm not allowed to ask any questions, I'm only allowed to join one cult or another...
Your response clearly shows why this country is in trouble. People stopped thinking for some reason...
They are all angry and blind. No questions allowed! Yes/No, Clinton/Trump, etc etc
Crazy.

do you know how much Obama is paying for the war right now? for Afghanistan, Iraq, Libia, and Syria?
Paying for a war that former President Bush started. On trumped-up charges. The intelligence community was telling him that the data he had was bogus, but President Bush just really wanted to invade Iraq. Well congratulations, President Bush got thousands more Americans killed and injured than Osama Bin Laden could manage. By invading a country that had nothing to do with the 9/11 attacks. But it only cost trillions of dollars. And tens of thousands of American casualties. And an order of magnitude more dead Iraqis (I know, I know, dead Iraqi civilians don't count as much as dead Americans). And stirred up a hornets nest of hatred towards the US in the Middle East (why is this never learned, that when you screw with other country's sovereignity, they don't like it?), the repercussions of which we are still suffering to this day.

President Bush and his cronies created this problem, and you want to talk about how much President Obama has to spend on this mess that they saddled him with?

here is fact. all of smartest economists are working for the Federal Banks. yet, we have the worst housing collapse and the worst recession because of the Fed low interest.
You're saying the problem was the low interest rate, and not maybe banks trying to outrace each other to make huge loans to people who didn't have the wherewithal to pay it back?

The Republicans are about to embarrass the wrinkled old woman.

And I'm not even a Republican...

But it's obvious that change is happening. Husseins addiction to Republican bashing has mislead the uniformed. Times are changing and you can't stop the clock.

The point made here is he should not have the time for this.
He's not allowed one evening a month for his own interests? How many minutes per month do you, as some random person, grant to the successful head of a giant and fabulously successful company, for his own personal interests?

Clinton and giant conglomerate business together? NO WAY!!!

This is what's gonna happen in US people. If Trump wins its all going to hell and nowhere really quick, we could go hand in hand with UK. If Hilary wins then her entourage will remain blind and think they are doing such a great job promoting liberal ideas but instead they will just keep on getting that gravy from giant business who are in bed with the government cause that's why she is in politics. Aftermath will be some guy three hundred times worse than Trump, probably an open racist, nationalist, homophone and what not who will win the election like a piece of cake and shatter the country in pieces.

Hilary represents everything that lead to a rise of that idiot Trump.

Congratulations fellow Americans, you have successfully dumbed down our democratic foundation of choice to just two underserving ruling dynasties of Bushes and Clintons for more than 30 years now. How dumb can you be?

I would prefer corporations stay out of politics. I know they are wrapping themselves in the blanket of "acting in their capacity as private citizens," but their stature is such that they no longer get that mantle. By so publicly tying their image and names to their corporate brand (keynotes, interviews with media, public announcements on issues, etc.), they have given up the right to publicly express private opinions. They are so closely tied to their brand they are essentially living representatives of their corporations.

Bono cannot speak without the world assuming he is stating U2's opinions. It is not like they have actively kept their personal and professional lives bifurcated. When GE's CEO speaks privately, no one assumes it is GE's opinion. He has not tied his name and likeness so closely to the GE brand.

I think it is a mistake for Tim Cook to so publicly express support for any politician or agenda, he is essentially saying Apple supports Hillary. At least that is what I believe the world is hearing. The allegations of Hillary being corrupt and having funneled funds illegally (or at least immorally) into her foundation gives the appearance of bribes. Tim's tying his (and thus Apple's) brand to Hillary, it is inferred he tacitly endorses her appearance of corruption.

Same could be said if Tim Cook came out and supported Trump. Same coin, two sides. I am not Hillary bashing, I'm using her as the example because it is she whom Tim (Apple) is not only endorsing, but financially supporting.

Too bad Apple doesn't support the Libertarians.

He can't, because Tim Cook is homosexual and being homosexual is what Tim Cook is now all about. It was better when he was all about being an executive of Apple Computer, but those are bygone days. Now he's the Homosexual CEO™ and that means being fused at the hip with the Democratic Party. Because of their bitter history of being oppressed by an overweening state determined to pry into everyone's private life, homosexuals are obliged to help Democrats usher in an overweening state determined to pry into everyone's private life.

Bush was an idiot, and I am not here to defend him. But Libya and Syria are under Obama/Clinton watch.

Bush made a mistake of having strategy to win the war in Iraq but no strategy to build a gov after. Obama/Clinton admitted that they made the same mistake in Libya. they removed Gaddafi but had no plan after that. it created a power vacuum that the Dash thrives.
[doublepost=1469846640][/doublepost]
You're saying the problem was the low interest rate, and not maybe banks trying to outrace each other to make huge loans to people who didn't have the wherewithal to pay it back?

it is cause and effect, or smoke and then fire. low interest rates was meant to boost the economy with free money (low rate). people rush to borrow to buy house, car, appliances, boat, etc. Hence the economy grows. that is exactly what the Fed wants.

Banks are just vehicles that moves money from the Fed to regular consumers, like average Joe. they just responded to the massive consumer demands due to low rates. Hence Fed is the root cause. Banks are just part of the financial system of which the Fed is the leader.

There are not much a President can do to make an economy grow. Only the Fed can make this happen with low rates. though many US Presidents claim the credit when the economy grows under their watch even though it is the Fed's job.

The only time the Government creates jobs (in a big way) is when they go into a big war. War come with big spending, hence jobs. U.S army is the biggest company in the world but they don't produce anything.
