"No shoes, no shirt, no heterosexuality, NO SERVICE!"

Stupid, stupid, stupid law.

You might be free to believe whatever, but that doesn't mean your beliefs don't have consequences.

You're right. When you die and meet the man upstairs, he'll let you know that you're not worthy to enter because of the anti-homosexual behaviors you held in life.

Why do businesses care who you're sexually attracted to? They're there to either provide a service or product in order to earn more revenue. And last I checked, LGBT money is the same as straight money

I for myself just find it mind-boggling how people are still able to sell their obviously misanthropic ideologies like "Christianity" (or any other other equal mythology like "Satanism" or "Scientology") as something positive.

As a resident of Indiana, let me make it absolutely clear that the vast majority of hoosiers (including our Republican mayor of Indianapolis, christians, conservatives and all sorts of businesses) told Pence that we do not want this.

He's padding his resume for a future presidential run at our expense.

I'll echo this sentiment - maybe I'm just around more like-minded folks as myself, but it seems there are a lot of local leaders and organizations against this. A number of people (regardless of religious views) also don't think it represents the state of Indiana, and instead is making us look as bad as ________ (insert state that regularly gets made fun of on the Daily Show here).

Sadly, this could hurt the local economy in the larger cities like Indianapolis and Fort Wayne, with companies not wanting to relocate or hold events at these places, despite not everyone having a closed-minded hateful mindset. Furthermore, there are plenty of parts of Indianapolis that are quite progressive, but due to political and social views, and also trying to make the city a more modern and pleasant place to live.

I think people should be allowed to discriminate if they feel that to not discriminate would violate their freedom of conscience. I've been turned away by some Muslim-run businesses, fair enough!

I'm gay and I don't mind this law. I'm sure the markets will sort it all out, eg those who discriminate will lose custom and thus go out of business.

Props to the governor for not following the herd only doing what is politically correct. If I have objections to making a wedding cake for a gay couple government should have the right to force me to do it. Go someplace else where I'm sure another baker would be more than happy to satisfy the request. The marketplace should decide these things not government.

What you call politically correct, I call basic human decency.

putting everything aside for a moment...

.. are there a lot of businesses out there wanting to turn away customers for this reason? I'm my 38 years on earth I've never seen one. At least not that I knew of.

Yes - there have been stories of pharmacists that did not want to give out birth control to people asking for it, as it was against their religion.

Apple supports freedom of choice?
Is that why you can't roll back iOS to previous versions?

Who's your god now.

No iPhones should be sold in this state; that will send a message real quick!

Let's see Cook put his money where his mouth is. Stop selling Apple products in the state and stop doing business with any vendor headquartered in the state.

If you want to debate whether homosexuality is right or wrong, fine. But if your business is going to turn away all potential customers who have sinned, you won't be able to sell to anyone.

Hmm.. interesting point.

Indiana can choose to single out child molesters. Or wife beaters. Or violent criminals.

But instead, they choose to single out out gay people.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't see how this could help him out in any way possible. Not saying what you isn't true, it just seems like political suicide (or at least it should be!)

Religion is the root of a lot of evil through history, but happy to see the human race in America has gone backwards in evolution and acceptance.....

A bit like how the country in some parts still believe war is the only answer..

Sarcasm BTW.

The country needs to in some way to kick its parliament into order and grow the ******** up! The cold war us over, sadly some Americans don't seem to believe that they should move into the modern 21st century.

Some Americans are so backwards in their thinking I'm surprised they don't actually naturally time jump back to the era their mindset comes from!

When did Tim say he wants to stop doing business in that state? If anything he said Apple will always remain inclusive for everyone. You seem to want to incite something.

Apple's money and Cook's money are two different things.

How will a business tell if someone is gay or lesbian? Wouldn't this make it easy to discriminate against anyone?

I don't think that's likely to happen. What I believe is the intention of this law is that people will not have to make things or do things that violate their religious beliefs, for example making cakes that support gay activism or cronuts that have icing in the shape of a pentagram.
