I never said that. I know driving a traditional car is bad for the environment. I just know that making EVs and charging them from my house is as well. Neither is the solution we need. Not currently, anyway.
An EV can be charged at home with eco-friendly electricity born from nuclear or win turbines. It’s hard to classify petrol as eco-friendly. An yes, I do agree mining to battery minerals isn’t eco-friendly either.

Cook is the best CEO in the world, but this guy’s carbon footprint is more than 1,000 times higher than any of your lifetimes. This is just virtue signaling corporate speak nonsense. 😂

It’s not a belief, it’s just facts based on nearly every objective source. Have you considered the supply chain for ICE vehicles? Oil refining, transport, etc? For the entire life of the vehicle.
Yes i did, and if you did, you’d see that’s EVEN are not any improvement, it is actually worse in the long run.
But I won’t debate with you, if it makes you feel better to think you are helping the planet be my guest.

I stand by my original comment, I find it funny that people believe EV are a good thing.

I find it funny that some people think the Earth is just one big glob of goo and all one has to do is poke a hole in it and up comes some goo that powers their automobiles.

The Earth has so much goo we never have to worry about running out of it, eh?

Never said that, I just said ev is not the solution.

It’s just creating another problem down the li e without solving anything.

BTW I don’t get offended if you find it funny I am actually happy to entertain you ;)

Switching the focus? That's a real knee slapper!

You may not be aware that some companies, and especially Apple with its roughly 1 Billion active customers, can both innovate AND try to act responsibly with respect to the environment. That's kind of like some people being able to walk and chew gum at the same time.

The good news is that you have options. If Apple's quest of trying to be environmentally responsible gives you a major case of the shakes, simply vote with your wallet and give your currency to a tech company that is environmentally irresponsible. And find true happiness sending TC a strong message in the process.

Common! The interviewer is asking TC where he sees the iPhone 20 years from now, and the response is that he basically don't know, but it would be definitely carbon-neutral...WTF? This is the guy running one of the most valued tech companies in the world and the first thing that is coming to his mind about the future of technology and the innovations that will arrive in our lives in the next decades is carbon-neutral smartphones. This is idiotic.

Yes, I do have an option, I know that. The answer to any form of criticism cannot be "just go away and buy other non-Apple products". This is foolish. People can speak with their wallets or otherwise. For the time being, I'll stick with the iPhone (as I have been doing since iPhone 2G), but this does not imply that I should then shut up my mouth and agree with the path the company is apparently following.

No it's not. It's taking personal responsibility and moving on.
