Lol I didn’t know about the exclusivity. I’m glad I have it on my PSVR2. Anyways I’m not paying even $2K for a 1st gen 😂
You probably should buy it, but never open the package and store it in a safe, dry place for about 15 years.

Then, put it up for an auction on eBay or whatever we have in 2038. In all likelihood, you'll be able to sell it for at least 10x the original price.

VR creation on a Mac is the WORST. The available applications is severely limiting and slow when compared to what Microsoft has to offer. I blame Metal. All VR creative apps that work well currently require good CPU power and where apple is going with low wattage/voltage ideology, it doesn't hack it. I tried running Epic and Blender to make simulations, convert to meshes, import in Unreal for VR and right now, you can't connect an oculus quest 2 to unreal to test the environment. Why? Because of the Apple ecosystem. It just doesn't work. If apple want to pave the way with VR they need to be more flexible and have games that work on Mac and development tools available for apple users from the get go. Currently, there is nothing decent that works smoothly. If your a creative multimedia developer (not a videographer or youtuber), windows is where it's at. And that pains me for the apple uplift in cost and macOS is a lot nicer to use too! - just nice doesnt always cut it.

It would need a "lucky you" sticker.

The Apple Glasses im actually interested in; MR Headset? No thanks, I’ll use my Rift S when I want to VR game, which even that is rare.

Another article said Tim reportedly pushed on releasing this instead of waiting and doing glasses when tech improves - I think that’s a mistake.
