It seems Tim Cook always wanted to be an actor. JUst look at all the appearances he made through the years...

Definitely not his calling -- same with public speaking

When I see how robotic and unnatural he is doing Apple videos, and then think about how much coaching he must receive to get to that point ... it's just not his best trait (at all)

I enjoyed the first season a lot. I was quite looking forward to the second season, although the time between seasons made me lose a bit of interest.

However the constant and intense shoving down my throat of this show, my Apple TV app, autoplaying trailers in my TV, and the extreme “building social media buzz” made me sick of the show before the second season even began. So although I think the episodes are out now, I just can’t be bothered watching them. I’m sure I will, but I need a break before it’s even begun.

This particular video requires ar least a month to forget.

I can’t be the only one.
In a way I envy you that this is a legitimate problem in your life.

Seems to me a lot of work is being done to revitalize the brand, as there is an increasing perception of stale. A lot of outreach by Tim, recently.
So Timmy has a narcissistic character as well… would prefer he would put his energy in other things like solving their hard- and software problems than promoting himself.

This and other publicity actions and interviews of him proofs that he has lost the connection of technology and consumers.

Quite possibly the most ridiculous take I've seen on here all day. Your hatred of Tim Cook is really impacting your ability to reason when it comes to Apple.

He's not promoting himself, he's promoting Apple's flagship show, which is the sort of thing the head of a streaming network should be doing. It probably took two to three hours, if that, to film that 90 second scene.

I think the issue here is that Apple has a contender for an awards sweep and a cultural phenomenon on their hands and they're going to great lengths to make it happen, especially because this is really its first shot at doing so. Sure there was Ted Lasso, but Severance is going to make it look like small cookies.

S2 had some of the best advance reviews of any show I've ever seen and, on top of that, having watched the first two episodes of S2, both of them are more intense than even the finale of S1. And that was just wrapping up the aftermath of S1, not starting the new plot threads of S2, which have only been hinted at.

This is THE way people are going to enter the AppleTV+ ecosystem.

One big way to help get people onto Apple TV+ is not requiring a full Apple account to subscribe, and allow for multiple TV+ profiles under a single account, like every other streaming service. I'm the only person in my four person household with an Apple account, so everyone watches under mine and my history is all mixed.

As for this...Tim a good CEO, but he has the personality of plain toast. Lumon fits him well.

Pretty Cringe, go Tim C.! He doesn't look as much like Ellen D. in this Severance/TV+ Ad.
