I wouldn't be. I canned my subscription to it. If Apple TV+ opened up everything in the iTunes Lib then yes I would sign up right now. But since its not...

That'd be nice but my guess is negotiating the rights and revenue split would be the roadblock. If they can show they and the rights holders will make more money forgoing rentals by putting it on ATV+ then it could happen. Even if they did put it all on ATV+ they could still sell copies as well.

The Servant seems pretty good, but I don’t know where it’s all headed; I’m still on Season 2.

I think For All Mankind is pretty great.

Outside of that, not much has piqued my interest. It’s going to take them a few years to get a lot of good content to sink your teeth in to.
My wife and I have enjoyed everything we've watched so far:

Ted Lasso has been the far and away winner. But For All Mankind is great as you say. We also greatly enjoyed Mythic Quest (their quarantine episode is a master stroke) and Dickinson is great too. Amazing stories was the only one that got as low as "just pretty good" for me. On the movie side I enjoyed Greyhound and Palmer.

Eventually we'll get around to checking out most everything else (there's a lot of good tv out there right now)

Good character development is more important to me than good storytelling. I think that’s what makes Ted Lasso a hit, fully developed characters and backstory. Also, high quality productions and good storytelling is not always synonymous. Apple are doing well but the next step will be to scale. Much more content will be needed to compete with the other streaming services.

I've got it as part of the Apple One bundle. I've really liked For All Mankind and Central Park. I liked Ted Lasso and See. I've still got a few more on my watchlist.

I suspect they have very few paid subscribers with most people still on a free trial. I would not buy an Apple TV because Apple are trying to invade too many aspects of my life. They should stick to making computers IMO.

The Morning Show, Mythic Quest, For All Mankind and Ted Lasso are standout shows for me.

Just completed season 2 of For All Mankind which was awesome. Can’t wait for season 2 of the other ones I mentioned.

I much prefer weekly episodes rather than binge watching. It means there is always something to watch. Also the acting and production values are exceptionally good.

What about the name? Is it just me or is "Apple TV" & "Apple TV+" confusing?
With hindsight maybe they should have reserved Apple TV for their streaming service and used something else for that little black set top box.
They tried to with Apple TV, but a little network in the UK got angry at stealing their name.

“Yes I don’t like Tim Cook. I don’t give him credit for anything. I will be very happy when he is gone.” I don’t think I’ve seen a bigger troll than you.

And yet other productions at competing services are cruising right along with manageable delays. I’m sorry what was your excuse again, exactly, for why Apple can’t manage the same?

Being that family members, my daughter included works in that industry, I have a better idea how it works. All those movies/tv shows aren’t happening at the same time. So shows/movies were further along than others. So when COVID-19 shut everything down, some productions suffered more than others. I don’t think you understand how long it takes to finish an episode or movie. Heck I’ve been on set for 14 hours to shoot 3 minutes of an episode. All this because of all the various moving parts. I could go on and on.. but I hope you get the idea.

They still won’t understand it. They chose not to. All of Apples productions we’re shut down in March. And some didn’t start up for another 6-8 months after that. People don’t understand the logistics of what it takes to make a movie or tv show. Having to schedule the cast and dealing with availability conflicts, location approval and putting together sets, and adding on Covid protocols. Apples upcoming tv show called Invasion literally took an entire year to shoot because of Covid and the complexities of shooting in several different countries. I have faith Apple is getting back up to speed and I’m excited for their content however long it may take.

Let them binge elsewhere. I want quality content, not binge content. Apple should continue being a highly curated platform with only quality series. If I wanted binge, I would look into Hulu or Netflix. I am tired of binge. I am sick of binge. I am worn out with binge. Apple has been a breath of fresh air in that regard.
You need to binge? Just watch some.

They need to purchase the rights to a really popular show and bring people in then suggestion sell the other shows.
