The 1 million donation did nothing to help turn the US into an oligarchy. It was just a formality. It was the voters and Musk who did that.
Oligarchy or not, voters and Musk have NOTHING to do with Apple and Cook donations. ;)

I think you need to re-read my post. I never said anything of the kind.
You did say voters and Musk turned the US into an oligarchy. The US may be many things; voters, Apple, Cook, and Musk are free to agree, disagree, and make donations (with limits) as they please. I disagree with what you did say about ANYONE turning the US into an oligarchy. Power rests with many and varied disagreeing groups and individuals. The level of disagreement allowed is an indicator.

And exactly that could change very rapidly under this new government. Just my humble opinion.

Elsewhere at MR, there's this story

I noted there that the M4 MacBook Air would be an exciting start to the New Year!

It's unlikely to happen, however. As explained in the article, what's expected is this:

“…next week is around the time that Apple rolls out its annual Black Unity watch band for the Apple Watch.
In each of the past four years, Apple has announced a Black Unity campaign in the second half of January, and this has typically included a new Apple Watch band, Apple Watch face, and iPhone wallpaper featuring the colors of the Pan-African flag.”

Hmm…

What will the $1 Million Man say about a “Black Unity” band and the Pan-African flag?! 😀

And what does the man he donated a million dollars to think about this?
I'm pretty sure the current administration couldn't care less about anything that doesn't cost the government/ taxpayer anything. Private companies are still free to carry on whatever unfunded DEI programs, watchbands, watch faces, and wallpapers they desire. It's all up to corporate decisions...:)
