Thanks to Steve Jobs programming of the faithful followers, Apples demonstrating that they know exactly what they can get away with.

The master of power, control & influence Apple has, and always will continue to do it their way. Even long after they've lost the top spot.

How does this make any sense at all? Seriously! This is constantly parrotted by Apple haters.

If Apple's faithful only buys their products, and Apple was nowhere just 5 years ago, with very little sales, has every faithful Apple loyalist bought like 1,000 iPhones in the past few years? That makes no sense at all. Apple has GROWN customers, not just kept their 'loyal subjects'.

And if their power, control and influence is absolute, how do their sales ever drop?

"All of the products on the horizon are expected to include impressive new features, including a fingerprint sensor and an upgraded camera for the iPhone 5S, an iPad mini-style redesign for the fifth generation iPad, and Haswell processors for the new MacBook Pros. "

Personally, other than the new iPad hopefully with quad processor and 2GB of ram, nothing else on this short list strikes me as impressive. It's more like point updates galore that should just appear midweek without any announcement.
Fingerprint sensor and upgraded camera? Haswell CPU? Lol
What Apple desperately needs is not another 5S, but bigger screen redesigned 6. Sadly, I can't see it happen...

What happened to the tv set that Steve Jobs "cracked" the whole cable thing? I feel like that's been in the dark for a long time...

Well with only 35B in expected revenue for next quarter.... this Fall won't be as busy as last Fall.....

You sound desperate to be sold something you don't currently know you want or need. Desperate indeed.

Here comes the ban-hammer. You're going to get an warning email from the moderators about insulting other members.... lol and i'll be cracking up.

What are they getting away with? You think Apple is cooking the books? It's a Ponzi scheme? We're being sold empty aluminum boxes?

Going to be really frustrated if I won't be able to buy the new macbook pro before college starts at the end of August. If that happens, I'd be buying a laptop a month or two before they refresh it... I feel so forced to buy the older macbook at what is now considered an overpriced cost (when looking at all the other updated laptops on the market). :(

Who wants an iPhone 5S???? Myself and many others would rather have a completely redesigned iPhone 6 with a larger screen.

People coming off of their 2 year contract with an iPhone 4s (which I believe is still perfectly capable in today's smartphone life), or any other phone. Main point, a lot of people are ending their 2 year contracts soon.

Not sure if serious?!

Actually, I think it was meant to be serious.

That describes my situation. I'd prefer an iPhone with a screen larger than the 5/5s, but since I skipped the 5, I don't want to wait for the 6. The only thing that might change my mind would be solid rumors of a 6 release in the first quarter of 2014, but I doubt that's going to happen.

Piling virtually all new Apple sales into the last 4 months of the year cannot be good for the stock. They need to get back on some sort of schedule where products are released thru out the year, not in one block.

There are other options out there you know... ;)
If people will keep on buying whatever Apple sticks the "fruit" logo on and no matter how inferior the product might be, Apple will assume that having a 2 year cycle for iPhone releases is perfectly OK. "S" iPhones are just slightly updated versions of their 1 year old predecessors and physically identical. Apple just slaps in couple of updated components inside and presto - brand new iPhone...
Well it isn't and most people i have talked to see it as well. This is bad news for Apple, because smart phone market today is way more advanced and competitive than it was only a year ago.
Time to innovate again Apple, or you "can't innovate my ass" anymore...

what's sadder, these apple brainwashed drones or apple haters who have nothing better to do all day than go on an apple fan website and troll? I know my answer.

Yes, that's it!! The next big thing is smart earrings.

Too bad for the uptight str8 dudes without piercings, but great for the rest of us.

Forget earbuds, the iEarrings will directly send data to your auditory nerves.

Apple stock will climb to $420, I'm sure.

Gee, I would have expected more from a "demi-god." Did a mis-type really deserve that? I thought that forum rules discourage making grammar and spelling comments unless they were necessary to make sure that there was no misunderstanding. I don't think anybody really thought that post was about earrings. Maybe you meant to put a smiley face at the end so that it didn't come off so condescending. I will assume that you weren't trying to be as rude as the post came off, at least to me.

Indeed, Apple is pushing all their major releases to the gift giving season hoping to push sales. They're creating their own busyness. I don't expect any surprises, everything will be incremental. This is all good for people who spend money like no tomorrow and people who don't have the Apple "set".

Without iPhone 6 released now (this year), with bigger screen, I can see Apple shares falling to sub $250 this year :(
Now, will that piss off shareholders off or what...
iPhone 5S will NOT cut it anymore I'm afraid...
Those days are over...
P.S; Just watch these shares coming down.
I predict Apple shares to be sub $250 by the end of this year alone...
Mark my words ;)

Hopefully something 'revolutionary' on the cards, rather than boring refreshes/updates of existing products...

Maybe, but when you're in the market to replace a product, be it desktop, tablet, phone or whatever, updates can be exciting too.

Lol, obviously. Apple has barely released anything the last 9 months. This cramming stuff in the fall plan is kinda dumb but what do i know right? ;)

Other than the MBAs and TimeCapsules, and the expected announcement of iOS7 and Mavericks, it has been a long 'drought'.

Interestingly, no mention of their "hobby" project at the conference call Q&A.....

WTF cares about the shares, unless you have some... are you serious? The last thing that I'm interested in is apple shares. Why do people always bring up this stupid topic.

You're right about the bigger screen, yes... but you can say that without the boring share-talk.

Some people will interpret it as: "Apple gonna release a revolutionary REFRIGERATOR!" ;)

That my friend is a difference between Apple inventing and actually delivering and at this stage, Apple invents NOTHING at this stage I'm afraid :(

The other computer companies update to new tech when it's available -- they don't wait for a tick or tock from Intel.

Actually, no. Most of the times it's the other way around. Apple adopts first any new technology, way ahead from PC manufacturers. As a matter of fact, they actually do that in an extend that they occasionally receive negative comments for that.

It's the PC ecosystem that usually "carries" legacy technology.
