Spotify is such a child. Spotify should just build their own phone.
Apple is such a child. Apple should just build their own decent music app. Oh wait,..nope nothing to see.

Apple is back to thinking it's IBM in 1984. How many lawsuits in the past 10 years under Cook? This, the same company that promotes itself as an environmental warrior on one hand, whilst burying Millions of it's plastic technojunk airpods that can't even have their batterys replaced. Boo hoo Apple.

hmmm... so while in supermarket A, should we get to compare alternative deals of other supermarkets while there?

Deals have always existed outside a particular marketplace. Why apply this thinking only here?

This is what any sensible person with a smartphone would do. You see an item you like in your supermarket A, take your phone out and see if you can find a better deal online or in another supermarket. Or am I missing something?

PS And I pay for Apple Music Family plan.

Not really. The EU will eventually be the undoing of the EU. They despise American tech companies but had zero complaints about the behaviors of Nokia and Ericsson, nor others like Nestle and Phillips.
Apple has been hit with antitrust accusations in the USA also. Maybe it is because Apple is doing things they shouldn't, and not due to "hate"

Are saying the when you pick up your phone or open an app is akin to entering a supermarket? Such false analogy would not play in a reasonable court. An iPhone or iPad is not even close to a supermarket, everyone knows that.

More accurately Steve Jobs would probably say: "They are bicycles for the mind".

Cheers.

It seems American do not really understand the idea of consumer protection. Each time a company uses its market power to make if more difficult for the consumers to make their own choices, consumer protection steps in and that is great.
FYI: Spotify was an early adopter of the App Store (launched their app on iOS in 2008) and their chosen method for attracting customers was to have them sign up for the free ad supported version in the app and go onto the internet to sign up for a paid subscription. So there was no "cheaper" version of Spotify available to consumers online originally. And Spotify wasn't providing consumers with a choice for how to pay. They had to go online to pay. And anyone who signed up for the free version was providing Spotify with contact information that could be used to communicate about the paid subscription on their web site.

See how that doesn't really line up with what the EU is claiming?
