It's a sad fact that it happens in this world, however there are far worse crimes going on, the fact that they get 20p per week to make our 3000+ computers is just the surface of the issues.

Yes it happens, there are organisation's and charitie's working to combat such atrocities.

Enjoy your electronic devices :)

The best thing we can do as moral human beings is not deny that this does infact happen.

I think that is a thought to end on! :apple:

I agree, well said. Let's not deny that it happens, and let's not celebrate it either, or say we don't give a damn. All we can do is hope it changes for them.

I agree also. It's a tragedy some people out there just don't care or are just too arrogant to think that it's so easy to change something. Not everyone has the same opportunities as we do or the same ability to just "revolt" when we don't like something. Not everyone has that luxury. It's unfortunate, but true.

I swear people are expecting way too much for paying way to little... If you are not happy with apple move on and get something else.

...this should read the "Japanese cars made in the USA plants overseen by the Japanese quality control" for most of the USA market (and some of the Japanese market)...

Well, seeing that the only thing that seems to matter on this forums is biggest and fastest, everyone should love american cars. Biggest and fastest. Too bad emissions regulations have been beating down diesel engines for a wile. But arguing what is best is a joke on here. Every company makes a lot of junk regardless of manufacturer.

I'd love to see what Apple's products would look like and feel like if they were built in Germany

To the OP: Macs have been built in China/Taiwan for a damn long time. You just had a string of misfortune. Now stop calling your faulty computer a Chinabook, I find it offensive.

You have a damn good right to feel angry but no doubt the fan-boys will say you're lying are a troll or should just shut up and put up with it.

You're a troll.

But seriously, he is just one of the unlucky ones, plain and simple. The same can happen to any person with any product at any given time. It doesn't matter where it was made, mistakes can and do happen especially with mass production.

It's unfortunate that this happened to the OP, but it isn't necessarily a reflection on Apple as a whole as there are plenty of people who have had wonderful experiences with them, including myself.

While this is a Mac forum, and most of the people do rpefer Macs, there is no reason to buy one or keep one if you've only had problems with it. The same goes for anything. Most people or "fanboys" do not endure time or money wasted going through so much trouble when there are plenty of other options out there, unless of course that particular product has some feature that you require. Not everyone is a brain-dead follower of their favorite product.

You would think. But the majority of mac folks don't seem to follow it.

I can count on one testicle the number of OSX users I know that went to windows.

I think it's a unique kind of situation with Mac and PC's though. Where in a different situation with a different product, it would be easier to switch to the competition it's usually not the case here. With many Mac users I don't think it's the pure love they have for Apple, but rather the absolute hatred and disdain they have for Windows and the competition that has them stick to Macs.

My two macs work fine and have never had a problem. My pc's on the other hand have been broken out of the box or break within days of purchase.
