this will be a 100% buy for me. I didn’t want the first iteration just because I wanted any kind of issues sorted out. I’m sure Apple has had thousands of hours of people using this device so now they know exactly what needs to be refined. I suspect a new processor will be more energy, efficient thus longer battery life.

It’s easy for people to say AR or VR is just a gimmick. It’s going to be part of the future. Obviously the design is going to change drastically. Imagine a television set from the 1940s. That’s what this thing is. It’s an early release of a new technology.

There’s a long road ahead, but at some point it’s going to look like a regular pair of glasses, battery and everything. Who knows maybe contact lenses

I think it’s great that they will essentially be releasing the most powerful AR/VR device out there. Now get the size and price down with that same power.

Problem is that both have to be on the airline wifi. So far only a few of delta planes have robust enough wifi. Wish there was no need fornwifi. Or maybe a mini router just for the 2 devices ( im not a compuer systems techie)
You actually don’t need to connect them to the same wifi. You can just manually connect in control center and it will work even if you aren’t connected to wifi. On my last flight the wifi wasn’t working at all and I connected without issue.

My thoughts exactly.

As an Apple administrator, one of the perks is I’m issued a Vision Pro. It’s a remarkable preview of tomorrows tech today. No, it’s not perfected or matured, but it’s one of the more unique Apple experiences available today, it’s just an inherently selfish device that really removes me from my family when wearing it, which isn’t always the feeling I want to convey.

I would say it’s no more so than an iPhone. Have you seen people staring at their phones at the dinner table? They are physically present, but not mentally present.

I think the difference is the AVP displays that clearly. You can’t pretend you’re paying attention to dinner conversation with something strapped to your face. You can pretend to listen while staring at your iPhone and completely zoning out of the conversation.

I am happy to read so many positive comments from users. I don’t think this is THE product and was waiting patiently for the next lighter generation. it seems that I will get one by the end of this year for one of my pro project … Hopefully it will be more than a speed bump …

I am not sure AVP is intended to be used that way … but yes soon as screens are involved this has changed our family and friends interaction it’s nothing new as it all started with Television screen than computer screen then gaming screen then phone screen … Worse will be when we will have screens directly with glasses and later in our brains … Such is our evolution
