So finally after the full two weeks of wait for my white 4S 16gig with AT&T, its finally preparing for shipment!! I'm hoping I'll get my shipping email within the next few hours! My dates were Nove 28th - Dec 5th. Looks like it should be here around the 2nd or 3rd. Ordered on Nov 14th and now Nov 27th its preparing for shipment.

I'm still waiting for my Verizon 32GB Black to give me an update about shipping. It's charged, but no further updates saying it's shipping, etc. I don't even have the final order # so I can't order track it.

i just placed an order for a white 16gb iphone 4S unlocked to Canada.

I don't want to sound like a troll or anything... but I work at a RadioShack, and we've been getting at least 10 or so 4S for all three major US carriers over the past few weeks or so... we have a steady slow of stock and pretty much always have 4S in stock... I'm not saying it would be like this everywhere (my understanding is that RS corporate is redirecting iPhones to my area because of high demands), but calling your local secondary retailer would probably be worth a shot before giving into the 2 week wait of ordering online... especially if your impatient like me 
Also, even when RadioShacks do not have 4S physically in stock at their stores, they can offen ship the phone directly to your home for FREE through their Direct2U service. Now this is all dependent on stock at RS distribution plant, but usually I've seen a couple hundred (500+) 4S's up for grabs through this service nation wide every week. The real advantage to this is that the estimated shipping time is only 3-5 days... MUCH quick than Apple's/Carrier's estimated shipping dates right now...

Congrats on finally getting your phone. Im still waiting tomorrow (29th) is the first day of scheduled shipping. So hopefully I will have mine within the week

My phone is preparing for Shipment best news I have received in WEEKS
My phone has been on preparing for shipment for 2 days now, I finally had enough of talking to Apple and called UPS and they didn't have it, so I called FedEx and BAM they had it!! It had left China, and was in Hong Kong about to ship out! Apple said they are running late on tracking number emails, but if you're phone says preparing for shipment, most likely its shipped!! Mine will be here Thursday the 1st before noon!!
Currently in Transit in HK should be here by 10:30 December 1st, I'm hoping a day early bc I took that day off
I ordered my white ATT 16gig 4S from apple.com on November 14th and it arrived at my house yesterday, so all in all it took exactly two weeks, and arrived on the earliest day within the predicted range.
No complaints here!
Forgot to mention though that the FedEx website had the delivery date as November 30th in their system all the way until yesterday when it said on the truck for delivery, so there is a chance you will get your phone a couple of days earlier than the predicted delivery date if you're lucky.

I ordered a iPhone 32 4S through VerizonWireless.com
Ordered Sunday 11/20 around 8pm.
Shipped Monday 11/28 around 7am.
Verizon ships Fedex Overnight and it was here about 2pm today.
So hopefully others should be getting theirs soon, too, if ordered through VZW.

That gives me some hope. My company ordered mine on 11/22 and the rep told me a ship date of 12/9 when I asked today. Hopefully he is wrong. I'm the only one that went for the iPhone. the other 4 that we supply smartphones to went with the RAZR. I helped set up 2 email accounts on them yesterday and the RAZR was pretty cool but still glad I went for the iPhone.

They ship them as they get stock, but they're not expected to catch up until 12/9 or possibly later (I think the site was up to 12/16) and start giving that stock to stores for walk in's.
So I think you'll get yours before the 9th. The overnight is nice, too.
As for the RAZR. IMO you went with the better choice. I actually had a RAZR. Was 1st in line on 11/11 @ 11:11am. Bought it. I took it back just over a week later. Nice phone, but too many things I didn't care for that I loved in iOS and that LTE bends your battery over and takes it repeatedly.
