Apple.com 1 to 2 week order status thread

FedEx Status will normally trump Apple status...

Finally I got an email from Apple - (tried the tricks on UPS and FedEx but no luck). It shipped this morning! Here is the timeline...

Oct 18th, Ordered Vzw, 16gb, Black - Standard Shipping
(Estimated Delivery Dates on Apple.com: Oct 31- Nov 7)
Oct 25 - 7pm: Status Changed to Preparing for Shipping
Oct 26 - 10:37am: Apple.com email with shipping information
FedEx Tracking doesn't show origin, but delivery date estimate is Oct 28th

So that means even though I chose standard shipping it will arrive in 2 days. Not sure if it's coming from China or now. Will know that probably in a few hours when FedEx is updated.

EDIT: My tracking status just got updated... unfortunately it changed from Oct 28 delivery to Oct 31st on the FedEx website. Confirmed that it's coming from China too. :(

It seems like the trend is that Apple is delivering closer to the 2nd date than the 1st. For example, I was given 11/4-11/14, it seems like I would get my phone closer to 11/14 than 11/4.

I found the same thing. Yahoo seemed to be more up-to-date. However, neither site indicated it was on a truck and out for delivery ... but it was. I saw the truck pull up to the wrong house and then the driver was at my door with my much anticipated package at 10:45am

What?

Are you trying to say that in the deliberate date range given by Apple, e.g Delivers 25 Oct, 2011 - 01 Nov, 2011, Apple would deliver on the 1st Nov?
