Do you think there is a chance I reserve and get turned away like what happened to people today??

Never done a reserve and pick up. But I believe that payment is due when you get to the store. And I feel your pain my closest apple store is 2.5 hours away... but driving 5hrs is better than the 2 different times verizon has bumped my ship date back.
 
We could be lucky and it could be 12:01 EST. Only because the west coast apple stores will have closed so the current inventory should be reflected.

Damn. I probably wouldn't reserve if I was that far away from an Apple store. But, it will be well worth the trip if you get it! I'm glad there's 5+ stores in my area. I would say I doubt you would get turned away tomorrow. There's a small chance but I doubt that would happen. If you get a reservation, you should print out a hard copy of it and any email you get so that they know for sure you have it and the status doesn't suddenly change if you check on your phone over there.

Good call. Do you (or anyone else know) can I reserve more than 1? I want to reserve a 128 7+ Matte Black and then I want a 128 7 Gold (which i doubt I need to reserve, but I also wouldn't want to get there and not be able to get the wife a phone...

Haha! I gave up on that a couple years ago. I just get AppleCare+ now and they overnight a new one if there is an issue they can't fix over the phone, no questions asked.

Be fair... there was just misunderstanding, a couple people (my self included) said it was local time.

Even when I have that they wanna put an 800+ dollar hold on my account until hey receive mine back, which i can't afford being a hard working college student who spends my hard earned money on the phone and rent hahaha

It's better to reserve for 2nd phone also if possible in same store or try reserving in a store where they have stock. Chances of reserve and pick up are higher than walking to the store. Good luck

Hoping so because it'll work well for everyone so they won't have to stay awake all night for nada if they can't get a reserve

Fair point. Thats why I just put it on a CC... funny money is great for those types of holds.

Thats the problem also lmao. Neither of my credit cards have a high enough limit to cover it lmao.
Just got myself a new car and started building credit with it

hahahaha! That is the thing though. I live in Columbia,SC full of college students who all own iPhones, iPads, MacBooks, etc..You would think they would have an apple store around..gotta drive all the way to the beach, NC, or Georgia in order to get to one
 
Anyone know if we are allowed to reserve for pickup if we have a phone preordered? I don't want the system to tell me to cancel my preorder and then try to reserve again and have the reservations be sold out
