Do any of you guys have problems with your orders getting cancelled? Not because of an item limit, but just straight being cancelled? It's very frustrating. I've tried everything from Credit Cards to Apple Gift Cards to prepaid cards, orders are just getting cancelled now

I had a successful order and pickup tonight. Last one probably since I can't get anyone to buy the UDP lines ��

No, my problem is with people like you because you have a choice. Instead of choosing to add a line or two to get subsidized phone to make a few extra dollars and calling it a day, you choose to bleed the glitch dry. Now thousand of people every day could suffer network congestion.

I only added two lines. That's my choice because I enjoyed vzw fast and broad lte network and want to preserve that experience to other vzw customers.
 
It's not about the money to me. It's about the potential of network congestion. With all this flood of unlimited data user there's going to be some 4g abuser in the bunch slowing down network for the rest of us. It's like having a nice day at the beach and suddenly the whole place is just too crowded with people to be able to swim leisurely or play freesby without running into someone.

a couple thousand unlimited accounts isn't going to congest the system

what if it's a clever plan by V to allow a bunch of us data hogs to get UDP's to "purposely" congest the system so V can go to the FCC and say look we "have" to throttle or the system will collapse and get the FCC's blessing to do so

btw is there no PM system on this forum I may "need" an extra UDP AOL

So I tried to port over my number from Google Voice while the line still says suspended.

The rep said there was an error, but she also seemed confused that the account number is the same as the phone number.

I'll guess that it's because the line still says suspended / the porting hasn't fully been established yet or something. It's been less than 24 hours since the number did move to Google Voice after all.

I did wait 25 hours before trying to port back. But as I said, the suspended line was gone from my account. So who knows which one mattered.

The status page on verizon now says that my other carrier has asked for additional time to complete the port. Up to 10 days...

Were you able to place another order without it being cancelled? I ordered one this morning and picked it up this evening. Going to place another tonight.
 
Hello everyone I am having a problem with my account. I currently have two active lines with unlimited data on my old nationwide account.I started reading these posts on Saturday and wanted to take advantage of the loophole. At that time I had four total lines on my account. Two lines had unlimited data. Two lines were dumb phones. I placed an order on September 18 for an iPhone 6+ pre-order through Verizon. After reading the posts on Friday night I decided to cancel my preorder and try to take advantage of the loophole. I also had my parents complete an AOL For my other two lines. I thought this would free my plan up and I would be able to add three additional unlimited data lines. When I try to process an order through Apple, I get a message saying your request cannot be processed at this time. I am able to add a line on Verizon's website with no problem. I have contacted Apple customer support and inform them of the problem. They stated that sometimes there is between a 48 and a 72 buiseness hour lag between systems. Has anybody else experienced this or does anybody else have any tips on how I can complete in order. Thank you very much I would appreciate any help you could give me. Thanks again

It's true - earlier in this thread I stated as much. 72 business hours is not unusual, and your credit card and/or Apple may take up to a week depending the terms of your temporary authorizations and pending activation. It took 3 days for VZW to release a temporary hold on my account and release a line from a returned iPhone - after VZW bunged up the order and activation! It's not in your email, but I'm still waiting for Best Buy to release two holds on cancelled orders from almost 7 days ago. I read over on Slickdeals earlier today that a poster had waited 17 days to get a pending activation released, and it hadn't happened yet...
 
I havev2 questions if someone can help.

1) if I get a new iPhone with the UDP can I switch my current sim so I can use my current phone number vs doing the gv thing?

2) if I won't be using can I suspend the new UDP Line so I won't have to pay for it?

1) you can switch the phone with a sim switch, so you can use line-1 with line-2's phone
2) have not tried it yet. i think you can suspend up to 90 days at a time, up to 180 a year....

So when you suspend the line, do you have to pay any fees for the line? I dont understand why everyone is using gv to switch phone numbers if it can be done by switching sims. Seems like I am missing something.

it will not work with ATT iPhone 6+
tried the # I ordered the phone some how stuck had to activate with the original SIM call ATT switch # and hess what lost my unlimited data now 2 weeks and they still didn't bring it back.
my advice don't play with it.:(

After you assume liability for the line, you essentially can do whatever with it.
1. add to your own family plan if you have one.
2. get an individual plan and have UDP. the pricing should be basic phone line price + UDP (29.99)

what are you doing with that line with the contract? if you're welling to pay for both lines, then just get a UDP line. If not... pay the ETF.

I'd pay the ETF and just have the unlimited data line. I'm on a single line plan right now, so i can't add a line and get unlimited myself.

sure you can. you can have two individual lines, or a family plan with 1 TDP and 1 UDP lines.

Thanks for the tip! But when I try and purchase a new iPhone through Apple (either selecting add a line or start a new plan) the unlimited option doesn't come up. That scroll bar ends at 100GB. Tried in Safari and Chrome.
