I bought a UDP line using Apple.com method, picked up iPhone and suspended line once I knew it was good to go. After finding out I couldn't just switch my current phone number over to new line too easily, I decided to sell the UDP line and the phone. The line has officially been transferred over to new user and is no longer on my account. I've tried to go on Apple to add another UDP line, but it says I've got the maximum number of lines allowed. Why did it allow me to add it before, but now it will now allow me to add another line? Cnote or anyone else offer any help?

Thanks in advance

What is your setup now?

Originally:
UDP, month-2-month with a iPhone 4s
UDP, month-2-month with a iPhone 4s

added two UDP's through Apple.com and picked up iPhone 6's with no problems. Both lines showed up on my account with UDP.

Found out couldn't switch phone numbers so I decided to sell off the new UDP's and iPhones that came with it, then do BB method for old lines.

Now:
old line back on contract with iPhone 6 using BB method
2nd old line in process of BB method of getting on contract (phone is enroute), contract extended already

1 of the Apple UDP lines completely off my account, transferred last thursday
1 Apple UDP still on my account, but suspended, awaiting to transfer it

You can only have 5 lines on your account... If you have less than 5 and are getting that error, There must be a glitch

which line is suspended? what does suspended mean? it'd have to stay on GV for 2 weeks?

The line with the number that I ported out. It's now suspended, pending cancellation. I just hope I don't have to wait for the line to completely cancel before I can port the number back in.

Yeah, I've only got 3 lines right now. When I did it originally, i added the two, actually tried for a 3rd but it wouldn't let me. It only allowed me to add one to mine and one to my wife's. Now it won't allow me to add anymore, even though I AOL'd one and it's off my account.

My number ported to Google Voice correctly. It can send/receive texts.

If I log on to My VZW, it shows that line being suspended. I guess I'll try in the morning to port it back over to an unlimited line.

-edit--

I just read that you might need to wait until the end of the billing cycle to port back?

Luckily, mine is only in 4 days compared to your 2 weeks, but there's gotta be a quicker way. Maybe unsuspend it, give it a new number, etc?

I am just putting my 2 unused UDP lines on inactive (unpaid) until around xmas. I am very confident they will sell then.

Did you just create both of the lines? I have one created and suspended. It wouldn't let me create another while the line is suspended. Are you able to un-suspend and then re-suspend the same lines within a day or week?

apple.com allowing me to add new iPhone to Verizon account with unlimited

You can suspend for a maximum of 90 days per suspension, and a maximum of 180 days per 365. I don't believe there is a limit on the number of suspensions.

Great thanks! Are most people just waiting for them to come in stock locally or having them shipped? I had my first shipped but it seems like people are having luck with them in store.

port the number out 22 hrs ago to GV
request a new number just now.
hopefully will show up on GV soon, or i am dead.

cnotes:
just depends how long you want to keep the lines in suspension and what cash flow is like, i suppose....
any risks for keeping all these udp lines around for too long?

The online tool still seems to be down on Verizon's website. I already ported a Virgin Mobile number easily over the phone. Did you call in and try to port in your Google Voice number yet? Despite that the old line is suspended and says the old number?

That's my situation right now. The number is on Google Voice, it calls/texts, but the old line on my account shows that same number and says Suspended. I wonder if there would be some weird issue

Exactly where I am. Do you know for sure the online tool is down? My guess is that it's throwing an internal error for the reason you stated- the suspended line is still showing the old number. I may try calling Verizon and reactivating the line with a new MTN. And then cancel again a few days later.

I say the online tool is down because I tried porting my mom's phone number in yesterday from Virgin Mobile into an unlimited line and I got the same error message. I called Verizon and they did the port in under 30 minutes.

My brother's number (tiered line) was in process of being ported out, but was still getting texts and calls with the Verizon sim, AND the line didn't say "suspended" yet. I think Google Voice just literally waits until the 24th hour to attempt a port, because Verizon told me they hand over numbers instantly if a carrier asks for it.

This leads me to believe that the online tool sucks / down for maintenance / just down period.

I have 5 new lines I'm looking
to offload for $100 each. Let me know

I have never seen scalpers at football games try to low ball each other as bad as what you unlimited data sellers are doing right now. I wonder how many of ya'll are trying to make a living off selling these lines.
