How did you guys choose a wireless charger? So many options
You need to pick one that has at least 7.5 watts of output (10 watts would be better, as then you're future proofing it for other wireless devices down the road). Needs to support the Qi standard.

The iPhones currently only support 5w charging, but they'll support 7.5w in an upcoming iOS update.

Oh, I see. That's not a FlightAware website though. 'Cause the FlightAware site says the actual departure is 10:30, not 10:51. That's what threw me off.

Mine shows departure at 11:12 lol

So the flight was delayed and departure time was at 11:12 which isn’t far off from 10:51. Remember they scan the packaged before takeoff not as they are taking off.

QUESTION/POLL: Those of you who are in the 11/17-11/24 wave, what time was your order placed? Just so we can all get an idea of where we are in that wave (toward the beginning or end). It may affect how quickly we get our phones!
3:22 am is the official time I got my order email from Apple. That’s eastern standard time. So 0:22 after pre order began. Still ended up in 11/17-11/24 ordering directly thru Apple. My first time pre ordering and was up and running since 2:40 making sure. Didn’t get the store open till 3:20

I’m just here to see if any of my fellow 11/17-11/24 people have gotten deliveries moved up yet?

And also to laugh at people who are literally tracking UPS cargo planes carrying their phones (while also being secretly jealous that their phone is actually on a plane).

Oh yeah, moved up a lot... it changed to 11/16-11/24 yesterday.. woo hoo.. haha

Yup I remember you from that group. It’s a few of us in here now from that group. We all got Saturday deliveries. Miles was in that group with us too
You guys got your phones day after launch or 8 days after launch? You said the weekend, was curious which one, since I’m in the 2-3 week crew.

That said... personally... when I need a quick charge, i’lL plug in. This is more form me putting it on the desk at work and not having to constantly plug it in and unplug it... so slow charging is ok for now, until the apple branded one comes out.

Well, the only advantage of the Apple one will be that you'll be able to charge the Watch on the same pad. (me, I don't care for that...already have my charging stand for the watch).

Ahh for me its the advantage of taking only one thing and not having to deal with all kinds of chargers and cables all over the place as I do today...

I envision a future where we have these pads all ove the place and essentially can charge our phones every time we put our phones on the table :)
